Description

The main objective of the project is execution of works on the rehabilitation of the public lighting system with the reduction of energy consumption and decrease of CO2 emissions. The location of the investment is in Buteni, Cuied, Păulian and Berindia, localities from Buteni Commune, Arad County.

The specific objectives are to decrease of the annual consumption of energy in the public lighting in Buteni commune with 128 MW/year and to decrease annual CO2 emissions with 39,06 tonnes by creating a new public lighting system in the area targeted by the project with replacement of discharge lamps in high pressure sodium vapor with 564 LED lamps. The current electrical installation is kept, only the consoles, the lighting fixtures are changed, and the power supply of the fixtures is restored until the electrical conductors laid on the pole. There is no intervention on the electrical connection in the power supply of the lighting system, the lighting fixtures with LED technology will be connected to the already installed and existing electrical conductors, which are part of the current lighting system.

The control of the dispersion of the light realized by the system related to the LED, ensures the focus of the light beam in the form of a rectangle, it ensures the reduction of the light pollution and reduces the losses. The total length of the electric street lighting network included in the project is 35,98 km and the total energy saving is estimated to be around 128 MW/year, which means 66% per year. Key activities of the project includes:

  • External consultancy.
  • Investment activities.
  • Project management by internal team.
  • Publicity to ensure the visibility of the project.
