This project is thought of as a useful and necessary tool to successfully implement the institutional development strategy of the Ovidius University of Constanța in the aforementioned directions. Our university needs a human resource capable of being actively involved in the implementation of the internationalization strategy, able to quickly adapt to the newest and most innovative teaching methods, to deepen its expertise in quality assurance. During the mobilities, certain events and/or meetings involving the participation of representatives of the socio-economic environment will be integrated, to be able to balance the needs of the two education systems and to be able to propose new directions of cooperation between the parties involved. The main objective of the project is to contribute to the institutional development of the Ovidius University of Constanta and to enhance the institutional cooperation between the Ovidius University of Constanta and the universities of the Donor States. On the one hand, this project is expected to lay the foundations of a knowledge exchange networks between professionals from the Donor States universities and those from the Ovidius University of Constanta, starting from the mobilities carried out within each university involved. This exchange of good practices will increase the professional expertise of the Ovidius University of Constanta staff in the field of quality management and quality assurance. One of the great achievements could be the launch of a master''s program, taught in English, focused on innovative entrepreneurship and/or the introduction of sustainable entrepreneurship courses in the curricula of the Ovidius University of Constanta. From this project will benefit: students enrolled in a study program and teaching staff /administrative staff from the three universities.
Summary of project results
This project was implemented from the desire to improve the teaching staff of the Ovidius University of Constanta on the one hand, and on the other hand, from the need to open new directions of cooperation and to develop the already existing ones.
Thus, by carrying out no less than 13 incoming and outgoing mobilities (of which four for teaching and nine for training), the teaching staff had the opportunity to participate in various workshops on the management of projects with international funding, that of the management quality in education or that of adapting didactic methods, by using modern means of stimulating learning and personal development, involving the student actively in the teaching-learning act. At the same time, some of the beneficiaries held courses on various topics, such as: Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), sustainability, corporate governance and quality management. Last but not least, in order to reduce economic and social disparities and strengthen bilateral relations in the EEA, the objective of the Education, Scholarships, Apprenticeships and Youth Entrepreneurship Programme and supported by the Ovidius University of Constanta, meetings were organized with representatives of the business environment, both in the country and abroad, to determine how they can get involved in organizing internships for the students of the Project Promoter, as well as for those from the institutions in the Donor States.
Impact on participants: refers both to the personal and professional development of the participants, but also to the social and cultural experiences they took part in. First of all, through the mobilities carried out, the participants benefited from significant personal and professional development, managing to improve their teaching techniques and communication skills in a language of international circulation, critical thinking and collaboration.
Impact on participating organizations: the improvement of the institutional capacities, respectively the alignment with the institutional strategies, represent two of the effects that this project produced on the participating organizations. First of all, they benefited from capacity building through the transfer of knowledge and good practices during the activities carried out. This led to the improvement of internal procedures and processes.
The impact on our institution in accordance with the institutional strategy and agenda for the modernization of higher education: two of the reasons behind the submission and implementation of this project were represented by the contribution it could have to the institutional strategy of the Ovidius University of Constanta, as well as to the modernization process of higher education.
Summary of bilateral results
The importance of the presence of the project partners from the DSs is given by their expertise and by the examples of good practice that we could observe at their headquarters and that we will try to implement also within the OUC. They refer to: quality management and adaptation of education plans; management of projects with international financing; adaptation of didactic methods, with focus on student involvement in the teaching-learning process; collaboration with representatives of the business environment and how they can get involved, on the one hand, to attract future graduates to their companies, and on the other hand, to attend demonstrations and courses during which they can present them to students the realities of the everyday life of an enterprise. Therefore, even if from a material/tangible point of view certain results were not foreseen for this project, the know-how of the representatives of the institutions in the DSs applied by the representatives of the OUC in their activities represents and will represent the most important deliverable of the project. Regarding the continuation of bilateral collaborative relations, there is a well-established plan for the university in Norway.
