Summary of project results

The school''s mission is to provide young people with high-quality, accessible education and training opportunities through vocational training and education, this way stimulating career development and increasing the economic potential of the area. The aim of the school is that  graduates to continue their studies or easily find a job specific to their qualification in the European labour market and teachers to continuously train through direct contact with the European environment. Traian Vuia Craiova High School implemented the project „Skills for the future”, identifying the needs of the institution and those of the economic agent partner, SC Softronic SRL, such as:- The quality of the existing C.D.L. in the professional and technical education system is "outdated", not being updated according to the requirements of the labour market, carried out without major involvement of the business environment- The quality of the learning tools (auxiliaries, learning methods) used, was inadequate- The need to develop pedagogical skills and abilities, to design and manage attractive, interactive internships adapted to the particularities of the students- The need to increase the professional satisfaction of teachers and students during internships- Teachers'' failure to adapt to new technologies- Lack of development of specific and transversal competences according to the needs of the labor market (teamwork, communication, analysis and synthesis) necessary for rapid integration into the labor market. The specific competences exist at a theoretical level, but training is needed at the economic agent in order to develop and apply them.- Lack of practice workbooks- Graduates who have recently integrated into the labour market are facing difficulty adapting to workplace requirements.-The attitude of young people towards work is an important problem reported by employers. Even though they have access to information and technology, students are unwilling to put in the effort and expect high wages for minimal effort.
