Description

The automotive industry is a constantly expanding field, it is dynamic and constantly imposes innovation. Being one of the largest sectors when it comes to the number of employees, it can be considered one of the main trainers of young people. Despite this, our profile schools in the country still train students following the classic methods and textbooks, a large part of the teachers either cannot or refuse to adapt to change.

The project aims to support the harmonization of classical educational content with innovation and permanent changes in the field, which will increase the attractiveness of the teaching-learning process. The project was designed and conceived in direct reference to 3-year vocational education, car mechanics profile.

Thus, a total of 10 people will attend a 5 days study visit to AREDNE association and a school with a similar profile in Kalamata, Greece.

The objectives of the project are:

1. Exchange of good practices about students work based learning.

2. Creating innovative materials that capitalize on students'' potential and improve their skills.

3. Increasing the insertion index on the labour market after graduation, due to the improvement of students in the technological profile.

The project results: better skills for VET teachers and tutors, 3 interactive and online Local decision curricula textbooks, 1 online platform with digital materials for technical disciplines, 1 interactive and online practice.

Summary of project results

Tangible results:

2 educational films related to the activities of Changing the brake pads and Changing the oil filter and the oil

Glossary of technical terms referring to the component parts of a motor vehicle, translated from English to Romanian.

Online reading diary (tested on a number of 23 students, in text format)

3 auxiliary textbooks for the Local Development Curricula

Curricular assistant "Workplace organization and problem solving", 9th grade VET high school;

Curricular assistant "Operation, diagnosis, maintenance and repair of the car", 11th grade professional education.

Curriculum assistant "Road vehicles", for classes X - XII professional and high school education

3 Local Decision Curricula developed for 9th grade, new for 10th and 11th grades)

5 model lesson projects and 5 worksheets created using Google forms.

10 auxiliary materials to provide documentary support to students

Intangible results

Better relationships of school and companies

Parents are more satisfied with the educational conditions offered by school to students.

The school became visible at the county level.

The relationship between the teachers participating in the mobility also improved considerably.

The teachers developed their teaching-evaluation skills.
