Description

The project "Education for sustainable development and European citizenship" proposes reorienting the role of professor of Ialomita county as a facilitator of learning, the agent of the change from the perspective of education for sustainable development, the European citizenship, and directing interdisciplinary and crossdisciplinary learning . In the project team, made up of trainers (educational experts) employees of the house teaching staff, Ialomita, will participate in the mobility flows 5 persons, who will do their part then from the teams of accreditation and endorsement (by men) of training programs that will derive from the courses followed in the framework of the visits. The objectives of the project focuses on improving the quality of the act of training as well as the improvement of the act of teaching and learning teachers in Ialomita county:

(a) the improvement of the knowledge of the education for sustainable development and European citizenship for a number of 5 trainers (employees of the CCD Ialomita county), up to the date of 30.12.2019

(b) increase the act of educational training of experts participating in the flows of mobility and education among teachers in school education in Ialomita county (teacher as a facilitator for transversal skills, mentor and agent of change) for a number of at least 100 teachers/year,  until the date of 31.08.2021

(c) the development of a network of teachers/trainers resource within the framework of the education for sustainable development and European citizenship for teachers in Ialomita county, up to the date of 31.08.2021

The 5 participants at the mobility (structured courses and job shadowing trainers) are engaged in this school year within the framework of the house teaching staff, Ialomita county, are specialized in designing and implementing the training courses for the teachers in school education.

Summary of project results

Education for sustainable development and European citizenship" aims to reorient pre-university education in Ialomita County, to motivate teachers and students to develop the dimension of education for sustainable development and active European citizenship in education and beyond ; he also proposed resizing the role of the teacher as a facilitator of learning, as an agent of change, the one who directs interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary learning, mentor of future leaders.
The project needed to be implemented from 2 perspectives: developing the skills of trainers, teachers and students to apply the principles of sustainable development (according to the 2030 Agenda) and increasing the capacity of the Ialomița Teaching Staff House to carry out European projects, to increase the visibility and capacity of the current team to implement continuous, relevant and current training programs.
The improvements brought by the project in our county and in other counties participating in the courses resulting from the project were: the visibility of the institution in the county and in the country increased, innovative approach to lessons learned by teachers (data obtained from monitoring visits and inspections), implementation of projects for education for sustainable development, education for the environment, for health, for independent living skills in schools - in partnership with the Ialomița Teaching Staff House, the inclusion in the school CDS of optional EDD courses. The reports of the Ialomița TS House and the field inspections and the applied questionnaires revealed the following: the free courses offered by the Ialomița Teaching Staff House through the project increased by 35% the quality of teaching, the attractiveness of classes, the interest of teachers and students for training and information in the field of education for sustainable development.
Also, the human resources - the trainers of the Ialomița TS House - improved their training skills, contributed to the promotion of the training programs of the Ialomita Teaching Staff House, developed new training programs, generated a chain of effects in the field of education and training: new continuing education programs (accredited and approved), projects in the field of education for sustainable development, optional programs in the same area, extracurricular activities, development of intra-county and inter-county partnerships, and promotion of European projects carried out at county level.
