Description

The project “More skillful students guided by VET school & private company in a Norwegian experience” tries to enrich the quality of the practical stages done by the students at the Romanian company. This will be achieved through an study visit, (organised by Prios Kompetanse AS), in similar institutions from Norway in Electric/Electronic domain, during 5 day study visit of 12 people (7 teachers and the headmaster of Technological High School Grigore Moisil and 4 representatives of partner company S.C Eximprod Power Systems SA). The main objective of the project is: Improving the quality of the internships held with companies.

The specific objectives of the project are: improving the skills and knowledge base of the teachers and company staff regarding the organization of internships; establishing a partnership with the company to ensure the employment and integration on the labor market of at least 80% of the graduates of the dual education class, the qualification Electrician low voltage operation; the correlation between the student''s competencies, the knowledge of the teachers and the needs of the labor market.

The results of the project will have a direct and positive impact on the school through: the local community and parents: changing mentalities regarding professional education, which is at least as important as theoretical education; the students from all the qualification domains, but especially from Electric/Electronic domain using the so-called transfer of knowledge; the teachers of our high school-by understanding the Norwegian culture, which is based on equality and solidarity and trying to change the attitude of the participants to this project, but also to the indirect participants, all the VET teachers of the school will be trained in Electric/Electronic field; the company-because through this project we consider that the relationship between school and the company will considerably improve for a better quality of the practical stages.

Summary of project results

For teachers - development of knowledge and skills in correlation with the labor market; - stimulating the interest of technical teachers to improve their work by understanding Norwegian culture, based on equality and solidarity; - change of attitude, desire to contribute to the elaboration / testing of materials in the project; 

• questionnaire applied to the students regarding the methods, means of work, way of evaluation for the training internships and final feedback questionnaire, regarding the improvement of the internships carried out at the economic agent;
• 3 Local Decision Curricula for the qualification Electrician low voltage operation - vocational education for grades IX-XI;
• 3 learning agreements for the qualification Electrician low voltage operation - vocational education for grades IX-XI, for the period of practical training;
• 1 website of the project uploaded monthly with images from activities and materials made; all materials are available free of charge on the site and can be printed;
• materials for presenting the study visit for various events, debates in the Teachers'' Councils, at the county circles for the Technology and English curricular area, meetings with parents, high school days, information seminars on European projects, events organized for technological high schools.

 

Summary of bilateral results

The communication between the PP and the Norwegian organization was, with real-time questions and answers from both parties, which we found resolved, by: e-mail, post, phone. The Norwegian partner proved to be prompt to all the PP requirements. The study visit was a success and aimed at valorizing and transferring the knowledge and good practices identified, through local activities carried out in partnership with the partner company through which to ensure the improvement of internships. In the medium term, the aim is the integration on the labor market of at least 80% of the graduates of dual education classes, the Electrician low voltage operation qualification and the promotion of the professional skills exam with at least GOOD qualification, for all registered candidates.
