Summary of project results

In the current context, which highlights the multiplication of the roles of the school counselor, the increase of the number of calls for advice, especially for social integration and prevention of risk behaviors, lack of tools and unitary support resources applicable to the counseling process, a flexible and high-quality psycho-pedagogical assistance system is required, wich will strengthen their roles as facilitator and agent of change, by implementing innovative methodologies and working tools, adapted to the contemporary society. So it turns out the need for a highly sustainable, highly competitive human resource to prepare students for a changing world. Therefore, the training course attended by 3 CJRAE Iași experts, as well as the valorization of the skills developed during the training program, successfully answered these needs. In a first stage, the follow-up activities were materialized in the elaboration of a practical guide for disseminating the accumulated expertise. Then, 4 workshops addressed to a no. of 42 school counselors, centered on: strategies for strengthening the roles of facilitator interpersonal relationships and change in school, modalities of social integration of pupils from disadvantaged groups, optimization of school-pupils-parents communication, collaboration of pupils, parents and teachers and building of ”change teams”. Subsequently, 2 workshops were organized in which 46 teachers participated, who received practical, interactive tools, which helped them to become agents of change in schools. Also, in partnership with 3 educational institutions, a program of counseling and psycho-pedagogical assistance was implemented in each school, which included 6 working sessions, attended by 32 parents, 34 students, 30 teachers (a total of 96 persons) and which was focused on the ways of collaborative learning and building change teams. Within the ”Smart vacation” Summer School to facilitate the school transition, was organized a team building workshop dedicated to a no. of 16 students from the rural area. We appreciate that the project generated plus-value through: deficiency of balancing the competences of the school counselors and, implicitly, a risk to the care are exposed the students, elaborates a resource of support for unity and innovations, the encouragement of the educational partnership and the active involvement of a triad teacher -parents in how to build change in education.
