Description

The project titled "Social inclusion through equality in diversity" supports institutional development by improving and streamlining the professional competencies of educational experts at CJRAE Sibiu. This will increase the quality of the educational process for both direct and indirect beneficiaries of educational services (pupils,  school teachers, parents and the local community).

 

The training courses within the program  EEA funds were selected following the needs analysis of the CJRAE Sibiu institution.Thus, a number of 3 structured courses were selected for one year (September 2018 - August 2019) which will be attended by 11 educational experts.

 

The objectives of the project are to improve professional skills by acquiring methods and approaches to achieve and increase the retention of disadvantaged learners, learning about different school systems across Europe, different education systems and the reasons for abandoning or not participating students at risk of early retirement schooling, the acquisition of key competences and learning through cooperation in multicultural / diverse groups, the creation of an inclusive and creative learning environment.

 

Participating in this project will have a positive impact on teachers, students, parents, our institution and the local community. Increased motivation and awareness of active involvement in psycho-pedagogical / logopedic counseling activities, motivation of school counselors / speech therapists to apply innovative teaching-learning and school inclusion methods in their activities with students, encouraging teachers to participate in professional development courses, emphasize the European dimension in our institutional development.

 

This project will ensure the professional development of the educational experts at CJRAE Sibiu, being an important opportunity, thereby improving the school conditions in order to facilitate access to quality education.

Summary of project results

Educational experts from CJRAE Sibiu manage and facilitate psycho-socio-educational activities for a wide range of needs (children from disadvantaged backgrounds, minority groups, pupils with special educational needs, risk of school dropout and pupils whose parents go abroad to work ). Supporting these children through their involvement in the integration process is an essential element in their development, being a challenge that determined the necessity of the project "Social inclusion through equality in diversity" supporting the institutional development, by improving and improving the professional competences of the educational experts from the CJRAE Sibiu.  3 educational experts by participating in the first mobility in Iceland, Borgarnes have learned innovative methods and approaches to reach and increase the retention of disadvantaged pupils; 2 educational experts by participating in the second mobility in Norway, Oslo experienced the practical exploration of the teacher''s role as a change agent, through the personal, informal and collaborative vision of education; 4 educational experts by participating in the third mobility in Iceland, Borgarnes have acquired key competences in intercultural education and learning new methods of learning through cooperation in multicultural groups. At the return of mobilities, there were 3 disseminations at county level and 3 workshops for educational experts, in order to transfer the knowledge and skills acquired to the colleagues from CJRAE Sibiu. Also, there were 7 disseminations and workshops in the educational establishments, having as a target group the teachers, to support the implementation of innovative practices in their own institutions. In order to increase the degree of motivation and awareness regarding the active involvement in the activities of psycho-pedagogical / speech-language counseling activities, 8 disseminations and workshops were conducted in the educational units for pupils and parents. Other results obtained were the participations with work at 3 symposiums and the realization of the online guide with activities and simple methods of learning through cooperation.
