The „SAFE Inclusion” project’s aim is to increase initiative of school and local community in educational integration and inclusion of children with special needs in the context of a county having 600 certificated students with special needs. The specific objectives will be: to develop competences of CJRAE experts on two specific issues (involving schools as changing agents and integration and inclusion); to work with teachers from 20 schools in trainings and workshops in order to involve the schools in better integration and inclusions of students and to develop an institutional partnership based on specific activities plans.
The project proposal is a cascade intervention based on the following steps: 1) 10 experts participating in 2 exchange programs with partner countries (training, study visits and job shadowing); 2) the 10 experts will train other 45 CJRAE experts; 3) together, in teams, they will work with 300 teachers (including them in training programs and workshops) in order to develop activities plans for a minimum of 20 schools for integration and inclusion of children and students having special needs or from disadvantaged groups; the plans will target minimum 6000 students and their parents for inclusive educational services.
The project’s dissemination will be based on activities of the project, press releases, on-line promotion (communication groups, website and Facebook), local and regional educational events in order to highlight the assistance from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through EEA Grants and ANPCDEFP.
