Summary of project results

ABIFF was born out of the need to understand animated film as a means of expressing European cultural diversity. This need was identified due to the limited awareness of such events among the general public in Romania. In Romania, most animated films shown are produced by major Hollywood studios, and the general public is not accustomed to regularly watching a diverse range of cinematic creations

The project incorporated the concept of sustainable development into both its main output—the short animated film—and its distribution activities. It included workshops, masterclasses, film screenings, an animation film festival, the development of a digital platform for festival promotion, the organization of creative competitions, and the facilitation of communication and logistics for related events.

The project created 15 jobs and improved the skills and expertise of 14 professionals in the workplace. It supported 8 contemporary art activities and produced 1 work addressing social, ethnic, and cultural minorities. Additionally, the project developed 2 innovative approaches to cultural heritage aimed at expanding the audience. More than 25,000 participants engaged in the project''s cultural activities, enhancing public access to diverse cultural experiences and fostering professional growth within the cultural sector.
