Description

The project "All pupils in the inclusive school!" is the only relevant answer to the causes that created the difficult situation of the poor rural schools of Moldova, such as Balş-Boureni Secondary School, Balș commune, Iași County. The project proposes solutions for remedial education, quality, fair and inclusive, stopping early school leaving, increasing access to 70 pupils, 50 parents, 20 teachers, to 1 integrated and coordinated package consisting of 5 distinct services: educational, medical and social, dedicated to vulnerable groups: children, young people, Roma and their families. The program developed together with direct beneficiaries (pupils) and indirect (parents and teachers) flexible, creative, stimulating, responds to the imperative created by online school dysfunctions, due to the pandemic, through remedial activities for vulnerable pupils in the villages of Balş commune. Concrete results: stopping the early school leaving (from the percentage of 43% to a maximum of 5%; leaving the locality), the recovery of the subject in proportion of 85% for the approached segment, the significant reduction of no. absences from 65% to less than 25%; with assumed medical exemption. The worst aspect: " functional illiteracy" reaches alarming levels in rural schools, exceeding 64% no. total pupils; in the project we propose to solve some system deficiencies, through remedial measures, complementary to the school, individualized, addressed to pupils with learning difficulties. For Romania: “The 2018 study of the OECD''s International Pupils Assessment Program (PISA) found that more than half of 15-year olds in the lower socio-economic quartile do not have the minimum level of science skills (56.1% ), reading (57.5%) and mathematics (59%). ” Balş Secondary School is the beneficiary and main partner in the project, the location is Boureni High School, Balș Local Administration, partner 2, is involved in advocacy activities, with decision makers and the general public.
