Description
The project “EURIBOR: Promoting sustainable actions for empowerment of vulnerable groups of youth women” is addressed to women 24-29 years old, not in employment, education or training, who are in a vulnerable position. Through transnational and regional cooperation of project partners with relevant local stakeholders, employability programmes and on-the-job training, and online courses supplemented with mentoring, EURIBOR’s goal is to improve the employment situation of young women and increase the number of women experiencing social inclusion. EURIBOR will reach 380 women from targeted regions in Bulgaria, Italy, Malta, Poland, Slovenia and Spain.
Since the project''s start, a work methodology of the Project Mobile Team has been developed. The partners took also part in a study visit in Dresden, with the German expertise partner. The main purpose of the visit was to discuss country reports, exchange good practices and discuss their possible application in specific countries. Partners had the opportunity to listen to the lectures delivered by the invited guests from ZEFAS (Center for Skilled Workers and Good Work) on the topic: “Recruitment and Integration of Women of International Origin in Saxony" as well as: “The role and methods of operation of ZEFA (cooperation with chambers, associations, institutions and the Federal Employment Agency).” A trip to the headquarters of AWO Familienzentrum Altpieschen was also organized. After these preliminary events and actions, we feel well prepared and ready to help our dedicated group of women through EURIBOR intervention!
Summary of project results
The project was needed due to the difficult situation and the risk of social exclusion of young women who struggle with various problems and barriers blocking their participation in social and professional life.
