This project seeks to assertively answer the need for climate change adaptation at the local level. Elaboration of the Climate Change Adaptation Plan, which will include the knowledge of the municipality''s sector specificities, the assessment of its current and future vulnerability to climate change, as well as the identification, definition, and prioritization of specific adaptation measures for the municipality. The plan will implement a policy of environmental awareness to stimulate the interest of populations in the conservation of the natural heritage, preserving and enhancing the ecological functions of ecosystems.
Summary of project results
The project integrated the definition of actions aimed at adapting and/or mitigating effects of Climate Change and established lines of action and respective measures priority areas for adapting to Climate Change, contributing to the implementation of an environmental awareness policy that allowed stimulating the interest of populations for the conservation of natural heritage, preserving and valuing the ecological functions of ecosystems.
The project had as its main objective the elaboration of the Adaptation Plan to Climate Change that aimed to encompass knowledge of sectoral specificities of the municipality, the assessment of its current and future vulnerability to Climate Change, as well as the identification, definition and prioritization of specific adaptation measures for the municipality.
The main objective of this project was to achieve greater energy sustainability and environment, through the preparation of the Climate Change Adaptation Plan. With the actions and methodologies proposed in the preparation of the Change Adaptation Plan Climate Policy was intended to enhance the active and direct involvement of stakeholders in the municipality, enhancing behavior change and participation in awareness of climate change.
Summary of bilateral results
The donor project partner attended stakeholder meetings, shared knowledge related with air quality and contributed for the elaboration of the Adaptation Plan to Climate Change.
