Description
The “CERCI Braga - Empower for Impact” project aims to improve the organisation''s capacity in the areas of strategic planning, social impact assessment, communication and fundraising through training and consultancy. The training actions in impact assessment and fundraising will involve members of the partner who, in addition to benefiting from training, will enhance the sharing of experiences and knowledge in these areas.
Summary of project results
The project had three main goals: to create a planning tool that defined the strategy and path for the organization''s growth and sustainability, as well as the expansion of its impact; to implement a rigorous and systematic process for measuring the social impact of its interventions, enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of its actions and improving communication with funders, partners, and the community; and to strengthen its communication effectiveness and fundraising capacity, ensuring growth and sustainability, based on the impact assessment results.
The project successfully achieved its three main components: the Capacity Building Plan, the Communication Plan, and the External Evaluation.Within the Capacity Building Plan, activities included Strategic Planning, Impact Assessment, and Communication and Fundraising. In Communication and Fundraising, training and consultancy were provided to 17 individuals from the promoter and the partner.Strategic Planning involved training and consultancy, engaging 17 employees and 12 members of various social bodies, including past and present board members. This training fostered shared reflection on the promoter''s present and future vision, which is essential for developing the 2023-2026 Strategic Plan during the consultancy phase.Impact Assessment also included training and consultancy, involving four members of the promoter and 11 partner members. This culminated in the production of the Impact Assessment Manual and the Impact Assessment Procedures Manual. The Communication Plan focused on direct communication with key stakeholders, demonstrating the project''s effectiveness in enhancing the organization''s capacity to generate increasing social impact.A dedicated project page was created on the institutional website, and project activities were highlighted on social media.
