Description
Even though Mira Sintra is a community with a long history of community dynamics, most of the people CECD Mira Sintra supports experience social isolation and their social networks are just professional and close relatives. The project will design and implement an innovative model of responses for the need to improve citizens with disabilities participation in their community’s life. Over the 18 months of this project lifetime, we aim to empower at least 20 people with disabilities (5 per type: visual, auditory, motor and intellectual) to enjoy services in Mira Sintra community; to involve 20 diversified services of public, commercial and cultural scope of Mira Sintra; train at least 40 employees of Mira Sintra services in order to properly relate and provide services to persons with disabilities; produce a technical-pedagogical training resource for Inclusive Citizenship; create and help to sustain an Network of Active Citizenship for Inclusion in Mira Sintra.
