Description

Camp-Pisz Sailing and Water Tourism Centre includes accommodation and training facilities and a marina on the Roś Lake in the Masurian Lake District. Our goal is to further develop our tourism offers based on innovation and cicular economy. The project will introduce a new water spa service on a floating platform. It will become a major tourist attraction of our resort because of the unique possibility of moving around the lake during the treatments, and because of its wide range of services including a new membrane massage service.
We will also implement a process innovation of a waste management system in a circular model. This will reduce the amount of waste generated by the company by over 19 tons per year. In addition, a pump will be installed to remove waste from yachts. An R&D unit will help us introduce a technological innovation - a system of autonomous floating electric microgenerators with integrated LED light points. The RES hybrid system will reduce the Centre’s annual electricity consumption by 0.02 GWh and annual CO2 emissions by 8 tons.  In addition, the project will let the Centre install portable wind and solar lamps, modernize the waterfront and expand the sanitary and storage base.

Summary of project results

The applicant carried out activities that had a positive impact on the environment by reducing the consumption of conventional energy, reducing water consumption and managing waste in a circular model. The goal was achieved by installing hybrid RES (wind and solar energy), supported by thermal energy storage, heat pumps and external lighting installation. Energy bikes and energy rowers producing electricity were also installed. The number of wastes was reduced by minimizing them, recovering them and transferring them to a closed circuit. Solutions reducing water consumption were implemented, such as a closed circuit of grey water, sensors of water supply devices, aerators and a rainwater collection system. As a result, the consumption of non-renewable energy was reduced by 0.0216 GWh/year, which translated into a reduction of CO2 emissions by 8.07 tons per year and processing 19.115 Mg of waste per year. As part of the project, a comprehensive system for protecting water, soil and air was implemented, which allowed for an increase in renewable energy production, a reduction in the number and volume of waste and water consumption. The innovation was of a national nature, as Poland lacked comprehensive solutions to minimize the negative impact on the environment in the tourism sector. Process innovation was supported by R&D work, which ended with the development of autonomous floating micro electric generators. The project also implemented innovative services, such as the Water SPA, which increased the tourist attractiveness of the resort. The "Floating SPA" offers a sauna, massage, hydromassage in an outdoor bathtub and water reservoir, and a specialized membrane massage. This is the first facility of this type in Poland. The scale of the innovation - national. The resort also offers membrane massage, not offered in the Masurian region, which is a regional innovation. An important element of the project was research work on a system of autonomous floating micro electric generators with integrated LED light points. The aim was to enable autonomous lighting of piers and fishing platforms without the need to install additional solar infrastructure. Such solutions had not been available on the Polish market before, which gave the innovation a national character. Additionally, the marina was modernized, adding 10 berths. The modernization of infrastructure (sanitary facilities, laundry, dishwashing facilities,
water SPA) increased the attractiveness of the marina and port occupancy by 20%.

The objectives of the project were achieved, i.e. an innovative technology, an innovative process and two product innovations were introduced. Technological innovation on the development and implementation of a system of autonomous floating micro generators electric along with integrated LED light points. The process innovation consisted in the implementation of solutions that reduced the environmental impact of the facility in the areas of water, air and soil, achieving the goals of circular economy and sustainable tourism, both in the area of implemented solutions and in relation to part of the already existing infrastructure. The product innovation consisted in offering the service of a water spa, located on a floating platform located within the existing marina. Within the water spa, the innovation also includes offering a membrane massage not offered in the region. Thanks to the development and implementation of innovative technologies, processes, products and services, the company''s offer has become more competitive on the Polish and foreign markets.
The beneficiary posted information about the project on the website www.hotelconrad.pl, which is directly related to the investment. The main page features the Norvay Grants and PARP logos, and clicking on the logo takes you to a tab with announcements about the order and the received funding. Additionally, information about the construction of the SPA on the water was made available on the company''s Facebook profile. SCHEDULE OF PROMOTIONAL ACTIVITIES after the completion of construction and implementation of the systems: - Advertising campaign conducted on the Internet, by placing information about the product on the company''s website and on social media. SPA on the water posters and leaflets were printed and displayed locally. Additionally, information about the SPA on the Water will be included in the book "Mazurskie Zachwyty" by Agnieszka Żelazko. Active participation and promotion in online communities, which are an important channel of promotion among individual customers. Additionally, an opening was organized for invited guests and the Wielka Woda association, which promotes a lifestyle close to nature.

As a result of the project Camp Pisz company introduced to the market: an innovative technology, an innovative process and two product innovations. Main beneficiaries are: Camp Pisz company who has a wider range of innovative and pro-environmental services, customers who can get innovative services which have minimal impact on the environment, and the environment of Masuria (water, soil, air).
