Description

The project concerns investment in the infrastructure of Pro-Familia hospital located in the Podkarpacie region of Poland. The hospital provides modern diagnostic services including a 3T MRI, one of the few in this region of Poland. Unfortunately, the high quality of scanning results in longer examination times as compared to lower-class MRIs. Therefore, to increase the capacity of the imaging department, we will purchase innovative software that speeds up the examination time without compromising its quality. The new system for compressing MRI data will increase the speed of examination procedures by ca. 30%, and translate into a larger number of procedures carried out, thus boosting the hospital’s revenues and savings on electricity consumption.

The second process being introduced at the hospital under the project is bio-decontamination, currently outsourced. An on-site decontamination system will maintain the sterility of the hospital premises, and result in less downtime for decontamination in individual wards (cost savings). It will improve the hospital’s environmental impact due to the use of biodegradable agents and the potential to respond quickly to microbiological threats.

The third process streamlining our work and bringing tangible benefits is the electronic document workflow system with a function of handwritten text digitalisation with the use of biometric signatures, which will radically reduce the amount of paper, cartridges and equipment used, as well as the time taken to serve and hospitalise patients.
