Description

The project objective is to reduce energy intensity of production as well as material waste generated in the process of manufacturing plastic frames for lipsticks, which we supply to manufacturers of cosmetics. That objective will be reached through the purchase of injection moulds with hot nozzles (working without waste), and electric injection moulding machines - more expensive but using much less energy than the hydraulic ones used to-date. Apart from reducing our demand for electricity, the replacement of injection moulding machines will enable the elimination of hydraulic oil from the production process, which has to be treated after use. As a result of the project implementation, OW-Plast will reduce the annual production of waste by 26 tons and annual energy consumption by 0.04 GWh, which will translate into a reduction in annual CO2 emissions by 25.55 tons.

Thanks to the production process improvement, OW-PLAST will be able to reach new customers, for whom such features as full dimensional repeatability, highest durability and guarantee of deliveries without quality defects are the necessary condition for starting cooperation. In addition, new and efficient technological solutions will bring increased profitability of current sales. We will also be able to increase production volumes without having to purchase/expand premises, which is very important from the point of view of business profitability.
