Description

The intensive development of the wood and furniture industry results in tight competition and the need to upgrade technologies and products offered on the domestic and foreign market. The project is intended to diversify the production at our plant through the introduction of new products, i.e. painted profiled solid wood boards for facades, paneling and soffit, which are flame-retardant and protected against weather conditions and wood pests. Such physical features of the new products will make them fit into the world market trend of upgrading performance parameters of wooden products.

The project investment covers the construction of a production hall, the purchase of machinery and equipment, as well as upgrades of our production technology and the acquisition of research works to arrive at target wood parameters. Thanks to the purchase of a photovoltaic installation, CO2 emissions at our plant will drop by 43,34 tons, while the extraction and dedusting installation will reduce the emission of gases, dust and solid particles generated in the production process.

Summary of project results

The project concerned the diversification of the plant''s production by introducing new products with significantly improved features. It was planned to include painted flame-retardant materials in production

Profiled solid wood boards protected against weather conditions and pests

intended for facades, wainscoting and soffits. Activities under the project were intended to contribute to the use of alternative energy sources and to reduce pollutant emissions. The biggest challenge of the project was to achieve product features that would meet the project assumptions. Due to the above, the challenge was to select the appropriate research unit that was to carry out research and analysis of new products.

The goals assumed in the project were achieved and had a positive impact on the Beneficiary''s activities.

The implementation of a new product will translate into the company''s financial result. Additionally, as a result of the implemented project, 4 positions were filled in the company, concluded on the basis of a full-time employment contract.

Thanks to the implementation of the project, the applicant established cooperation with a research and development unit -  Sieć Badawcza Łukasiewicz - Poznań Institute of Technology. The Institute, as a scientific unit, implements R&D projects in the field of modern mobility, sustainable economy, digital transformation and laboratory research.

Thanks to the above-mentioned cooperation, the beneficiary had the opportunity to establish new contacts and carry out the assumed scope of research work. Implementing new knowledge in a business. New experiences will allow the implementation of further projects of this type at Gas Partner, and thus the implementation of new products and the development of the company''s long-term business strategy.

The implemented communication plan enabled the Beneficiary to establish new contacts, present the project product on a wider forum and resulted in gaining new knowledge in the company in the field of product marketing.

It should be added that the implementation of the project itself allowed the company to acquire new knowledge and new skills in the field of project management, which also positively translates into the quality of management in the company and, in the long run, encourages the implementation of further projects.

The implementation of the investment related to the purchase of the RES installation allowed us to gain real knowledge in the field of renewable energy sources, its economic benefits (reduction of energy costs) and environmental benefits - a real reduction in CO2 emissions into the atmosphere. The implementation of this type of solutions also affects the Applicant''s business environment. The company is perceived as environmentally friendly and supports the implementation of "green" solutions.

Thanks to the implementation of the project, the applicant established cooperation with a research and development unit – Sieć Badawcza Łukasiewicz - Poznań Institute of Technology.

Thanks to the above-mentioned cooperation, the beneficiary had the opportunity to establish new contacts and carry out the assumed scope of research work. Implementation of new knowledge in your business. New experiences will allow the implementation of further projects of this type at Gas Partner, and thus the implementation of new products and the development of the company''s long-term business strategy.

The innovative aspect of the project will contribute to the increase of the company''s competitiveness. The implementation of the project also brings measurable economic benefits for the region. These benefits include primarily the creation of new and permanent jobs planned by the Applicant under the project. This also higher amounts of taxes resulting from the subject of activity to the offices Tax offices located in the province Podkarpackie.

In the case of the project results themselves, i.e. painted flame-retardant wooden boards profiled, their use will contribute to

a) improving the safety of the buildings on which it will be installed

b) improving the energy parameters of the building - the boards are natural thermal insulation made of renewable material.

The photovoltaic installation installed by the Applicant will also improve the condition of the natural environment installed on the roof of the production hall. The photovoltaic installation operates solely on the basis of a renewable energy source, i.e. solar radiation. This allows for coverage a significant part of the electricity demand. Photovoltaics is also a zero-emission system. This means that the installation does not produce harmful compounds or greenhouse gases.

The use of solar energy therefore reduces the consumption of electricity supplied by the service provider energy.
