Description

Apart from tooth decay, periodontal disease is the most common cause of premature tooth loss. Many patients suffer from bleeding gums, exposed roots or loosening of the teeth, but not everyone realizes that these are symptoms of periodontitis. Periodontics deals specifically with the prevention and treatment of that disease which affects the structures responsible for keeping teeth in the bone.

The project is about the creation and implementation of procedures for innovative therapy of bone reconstruction. It will be based on digital non-invasive design techniques, and on the use of laser light for treatment and regeneration in gerostomatology patients, including treatment of mucous membrane in patients after chemo and radio therapy, treatment and pain relief and acceleration of wound healing process.

Our cooperation with the Norwegian partner is intended to help in the development of service procedures to use red and infrared light lasers for the treatment, regeneration and support of the immune system in elderly patient. It will also support my company in the implementation of these services. The Drammen Laserklinikk in Norway has been using lasers for a long time, and its expertise in this field of treatment is extensive.

In addition to the partner’s mentoring, the project covers the purchase of consulting services to develop protocols for the new dental and general medical treatments (support for the treatment of asthma, RA, diabetic wounds, migraines and bad mood), and the purchase of modern medical equipment, i.e. a digital tomograph, an intraoral scanner, an SD printer and a laser bed.

Summary of bilateral results

Drude E.Kilen - the Norwegian mentor from Drammen Laserklinikk - helped me in the development of service procedures to use red and near-infrared light lasers for the treatment, regeneration and support of the immune system in elderly patient. The mentor also supported me in the implementation of these services. Drude has extensive experience in therapy with red and infrared laser light, using the NovoThor device. My cooperation with the mentor, including my visit in the clinic in Drammen, significantly contributed to the implementation of the project. The relationship that was developed may result in future cooperation.
