Description

A modern marina, apart from being a safe berthing place for yachts, must also provide basic sanitary and waste disposal facilities, refuelling, drinking water, electricity, small repairs and leisure activities. My project aims to set up such an inland port located on the Great Masurian Lakes trail on the shore of Lake Tajty. Eighteen vessels will be able to berth there. A professional marina will be constructed, and will include: a slip for launching boats, two shore piers as shore reinforcement, floating piers and accommodation infrastructure in the form of glamping tents (each tent with a bathroom, kitchen annex, hot tub and gazebo).

The project will allow sustainable management of natural resources, as the marina will be powered with energy obtained from RES, i.e. photovoltaic panels installed on floating piers. They will operate with increased efficiency due to the reflection of light from water. The panels will ensure energy self-sufficiency of the facility and help build a competitive advantage in the demanding market of water and inland tourism. Our customers will also be able to charge their batteries with “green” energy. The project will reduce CO2 emissions by 11 tons per year.

Importantly, floating piers have no rigid connection with the lake bottom, so they flexibly adapt to changes in the water surface, and can be installed on almost any body of water - regardless of differences in depth. This solution does not have a negative impact on surface and underground waters, and does not interfere with the ecosystem existing at the bottom of the reservoir.

Summary of project results

The project was to enable the creation of a new marina in Masuria, basically from scratch.

We had a prepared investment area that required development

The area was ideal for creating a modern port - on the shores of a lake, in the very center of the waterway.

There is still a great demand for yacht berths in Masuria. We wanted this place to be modern and comfortable, but at the same time as environmentally friendly as possible and enabling contact with nature. We had all the permits and designs for building a marina, we lacked the financial resources to implement it at a high level.

We managed to achieve this thanks to the implementation of the project - we used innovative solutions and the highest quality products, which would not have been possible without financial support - the marina that was built has the first photovoltaic installation on the water in Poland that powers the port, the constructed piers and the entire infrastructure are modern, the company has a good position on the market and can develop its business

to create a marina, the following had to be done:

- strengthen the lake shore

- a place to launch boats

- a jetty for yachts

This gives yacht owners a new place to keep their boats - this reduces the number of boats in places not intended for this

to ensure ecological use of the port, the following were made:

- a pump to collect waste from boats and a device to empty toilet cassettes - these devices help reduce water pollution - boats do not discharge waste directly into the lake

- a floating platform for photovoltaic panels - thanks to this, a photovoltaic installation on the water was created, which is an innovation not only for the company but also on a national scale

to create a lodging base:

- Tiny House mobile homes and a house on the water were purchased - such places enjoy great interest, the company offers an interesting service thanks to this

These activities allowed the creation of a new offer. The company can offer port services as well as accommodation services for tourists visiting Masuria, the company''s competitiveness has increased.

Yacht owners have gained a new unique place where they can moor their boats. They can use a pump to collect sewage, have access to electricity and water.

as a result of the project implementation, a modern marina was created. The beneficiary will achieve indicators that are the effect of the project:

- creation of an innovative product - a tourist service provided on the basis of a marina with piers, accommodation facilities and a place to spend free time has been created

- a workplace has been created

- the applied innovations (photovoltaics on water) will reduce annual CO2 emissions

- the company will achieve an increase in turnover and an increase in profit

The effects of the project for individual tourists, organized groups, and yacht owners are to satisfy them through:

• high standard of tourist infrastructure and services offered (including contact with the facility and online service, organization of stay at a given time - e.g. presentation of attractions that can be seen in the region, booking trips and tickets for artistic events,

• offer of additional services (e.g. presence of facilities for active recreation - kayaks, SUP boards, yoga mats, etc.)

• attractive location of the facility understood as a base for trips in a given region

• logistical convenience and safety of using the facility - easy access, monitoring of the facility, parking,

• comprehensive service provided by the possibility of resting both in your own boat, as well as the possibility of resting on land in one of the cottages
