Description

The project aims to increase the competence of LEA’s in the field of search and detention of persons hiding from justice, including members of organized criminal groups. Activities aim at cooperation between Polish authorities from the "chain of justice" (Police, Prosecutor''s Office, Courts) and increasing international cooperation in this area. The exchange of experience in property recovery of wanted persons will also be part of the project. The main activities involve organization of expert meetings, study visits, training sessions and exercises. In the activities will take part the Police, Prosecutor''s Office and judicial representatives as well as other authorities involved in the search of wanted persons  and the recovery of property, representatives of Europol, Interpol and German police. In addition to KWP in Wrocław, KWP in Opole, Gorzów Wlkp., Szczecin and Łódź will participate in the project. There is planned a purchase of innovative and specialized equipment for the police

Summary of project results

Increasing the competence of law enforcement authorities in searching for and detaining persons fleeing from justice, including improving cooperation between Polish authorities from the so-called “justice chain” as well as increasing international cooperation in this area.

  • organisation of specialised training courses and seminars, in the field of the search for people in hiding, including cascade training;
  • organisation of the seminar on the recovery of assets;
  • organisation of a cross-border surveillance and detention exercise.
