Description

The main assumption and at the same time the goal of the project is to Increase the effectiveness of Polish law enforcement services by providing officers with access to the Automatic License Plate Recognition System (ANPRS) supporting the fight against law violations. The purchased system together with intervention and observation cars will be used on strategie area of intersection of two TEN-T corridors (North Sea-Balbc and Baltic-Adriatic) and main transit routes to and from the east EU border, i.e. In the area of Warsaw Metropolitan Police operation. A central server with software to ANPRS will also be purchased and access stations as well as portable number plate recognition kits placed in mobile training platforms of the above cars. Users will be trained to use purchased equipment.

Gender equality is relevant in case of this project, because Project Promoter will ensure equal access to trainings for male and female police officers. Indicator related to trainings will be monitored and disaggregated by gender.

Summary of project results

Project aimed to provide Polish police officers with access to new technology - Automatic License Plate Recognition System (ANPRS). Implementation of ANPRS was support for the fight against law violations. 

- Specialised equipment (Automatic License Plate Recognition System - ANPRS) has been purchased,

- 400 officers have been trained within using the System,

- brochure has been created to serve as a manual regarding usage of the System for other officers.

Results achieved by the project:

- 400 Polish police officers trained in the useage of the ANPRS.

Results of the project can impact general public, since it strengthened competences of the Police.
