Description

The aim of the project is to update the education offer through the exchange of opinions and good practices between organizations with experience in the field of professional youth education and the development of their future competences. Project activities are aimed primarily at young people and learners, as they will be the direct beneficiaries of the project results. The need to implement the project results directly from the lack of flexibility of the education system in Poland in terms of adaptation to the dynamically changing labor market and the lack of a tool for developing the competences of the future among young people. Young people are deprived of adequate preparation to enter the modern labor market. During the project implementation, the applicant will involve external experts to ensure the maximum adaptation of the project results to the needs of recipients. Based on the previous experience and the exchange of opinions and good practices between organizations, an interactive guide for young people will be created, containing elements such as simulation of a job interview, tips and tricks on how to find yourself in a new situation and team, a CV creator and a competency test, which will show the user what development competencies should focus in order to be successful professionally. Thanks to this, the project will be a response to the needs of young people in terms of choosing a career path and acquiring basic knowledge in the field of requirements posed by a modern employer. In addition, the project results will be fully scalable and available, which makes them sustainable.

Summary of project results

The project was a response to the needs of young people to prepare for entry into the labor market. Currently, the school and higher education systems do not provide young people with adequate preparation for getting their first job or making decisions about their professional future. As part of the project, we investigated the needs of young people regarding their perceptions of the future, the competencies they lack, and the knowledge needed to get a job and go through the interview process.

Based on this research and consultations with HR experts and our Norwegian partners, we created the Interactive Competency Guide. It is an online platform that includes a competency test, practical interview tips, multimedia materials, a free resume generator and best practices developed by our Norwegian partners. The Guidebook is open to the public and free of charge, and its content has been tailored to the needs of young people who have not yet had contact with the labor market.

The competencies and advice contained in the guidebook have been prepared by specialists, and the end result has been met with great interest by the beneficiaries. The platform will be used by us to conduct workshops that will help young people effectively prepare for adult life. The materials in the guide also emphasize the importance of contextual education and lifelong learning.

Summary of bilateral results

For our organization and the project itself, it was an extremely valuable experience to work with our Norwegian partner TERRAM PACIS. Thanks to their involvement, we gained a unique point of view and the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the experiences of young people in Norway. Discussing the educational system and youth support mechanisms there provided us with a lot of valuable information that could also be adapted in Poland. In the course of our cooperation, we jointly analyzed the cultural and systemic differences between our countries, which allowed us to better understand the specific needs of young people. Members of the project team gained invaluable experience, developing their competence to cooperate in an international team, as well as language skills. The trip abroad to Norway turned out to be crucial for deepening cooperation. It enabled our team members to learn directly about Norwegian practices in education and youth support, which inspired us to introduce innovative solutions in our project. Workshops with HR specialists and non-formal education experts allowed us to share good practices and develop effective strategies to adapt our Interactive Competency Guide to the needs of young people in Poland. The cooperation also had a significant impact on the personal development of our team members. The experience gained and newly acquired skills not only enriched their knowledge, but also increased their confidence in the context of international projects. As a result, we are better prepared to implement new initiatives. The integration of the project team was also not without significance. Joint activities, both in Poland and Norway, have helped to strengthen ties and create a strong, cooperating group. We believe that the established partnership will be long-lasting and fruitful, opening new opportunities for cooperation and implementation of future projects.
