The project "Innovative and multimedia teaching package for the Company program" aims to improve the quality of entrepreneurship education and increase the accessibility of the Company Program (CP) for people with disabilities by developing new and updating existing materials for the implementation of the program, as well as increasing the competences of teachers in the field of entrepreneurship education, incl. online education. Implementation of the project is necessary due to: the change in the formula of the CP, technolog. changes, which the solutions used by the Applicant can''t keep up with, and the revolution in education related to the COVID-19 pandemic and distance learning. The Company Program is carried out in secondary schools. About 2,800 students participate in it every year. The subject matter of the program develops students'' key competences: entrepreneurship, digital, personal and social, as well as learning skills. The program provides students with practical, one-year exper. of running a business in a safe school environment with the support of a teacher and a multimedia teaching package. The activities include the development, testing and implementation of innovative educ. methods and tools for teachers to work with students and for student indepen. work. The results of the project will include a new online platform of the program with a business plan generator and financial program, program guide, lesson plans, educational tasks, films and multimedia presentations. The applied method of teaching through practice ensures a permanent change of attitudes and skills of students necessary to run their own business, as well as on the labor market.
Goals to achieve:
- improving the quality of education in the field of entrepreneurship in secondary school under CP,
- increasing the accessibility of the CP for people with disabilities,
- improving teachers’ competence in the field of entrepreneurship education.
Summary of project results
The project aimed to develop a new and update the existing offer of entrepreneurship education in secondary schools as part of the Company Program. The program''s topics allow the students to develop key competencies: entrepreneurship, digital, personal and social, as well as lifelong learning skills. The program provides students with hands-on, one-year experience in running a business in a safe school environment with the support of a teacher and a multimedia teaching package. The teaching method ensures a lasting change in attitudes and skills necessary in adult life and on the labor market. The program prepares students to run their own business, shows the opportunities and threats resulting from self-employment, and shapes the necessary attitudes and skills in the field of entrepreneurship. Project activities included the development and implementation of innovative educational methods and tools for teachers to work with students.
The results achieved as part of the implemented project are:
(RPI 1) "Mini-enterprise step by step" guide (RPI 2) 25 lesson plans, (RPI 3) 50 educational tasks, (RPI 4) 20 multimedia presentations, (RPI 5) FINANCE program, (RPI 6) business plan generator, (RPI 6) RPI 7) Internet platform of the "Youth mini-enterprise".
The package is adapted to the natural communication environment of young people (the Internet) and adapts to their individual learning style. The resources created are adapted to students with special needs (in accordance with the WCAG 2.0 standard). The materials will be available free of charge to logged-in participants. Thanks to training and materials supporting work with students, the project also contributes to the development of teachers'' professional competences.
