Summary of project results

The aim of the project under Education Programme was:
- increasement of the number of students at AGH UST who, as part of their studies at the 1st and/or 2nd degree, completed studies at a partner University (PU) and/or internships under the Education Programme. These trends include efforts to extend this trend to the 3rd cycle of studies.
- increasement of the number of students coming to AGH UST from PU
- improvement of the quality of education and professional competences of students ,
- increasement of the number of AGH UST Academic Staff going to PU,
- increasement of the number of PU Academic Staff coming to AGH UST,
- improvement of the quality of education and professional competences of Academic Staff, which may be supported by the mobility of research and teaching staff
- increasement of the number of Administrative Staff form AGH UST and PU,
- improvement of the professional competences of Academic Staff from AGH UST and PU, through participation in training mobilities,
- continuation and expansion of international cooperation of AGH UST by maintaining contacts with foreign universities in EEA countries,
- supporting all local and government initiatives to developing mechanisms for improving the quality of education

The implementation of activities focused on expanding international cooperation. Currently, AGH UST has signed 4 agreements with program countries, due to the exchange of students at the 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycle and academic and administrative Staff.
As part of the project, a total of 11 mobilities were completed (6 students and 5 employees) out initially planned 14 (10 students and 4 employees).

The student mobility could not be carried out because the student who was nominated to the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) resigned at the last minute. In accordance with the planned remedial measures to prevent the risk of unrealized mobilities in the project, the mobility was offered to another person who was on the reserve list. However, after contacting the NTNU, it was unfortunately not possible to send another person to study (despite willing people who were on the reserve list), because there were no time to complete the procedure at the NTNU. Due to internal reasons (conducting scientific research during the project), the University of Oslo was unable to organize student mobility for internships in Poland. Therefore, the FRSE consent was obtained to introduce new data in the Change Charter regarding the transfer of free funds for employee mobility from Poland to the Donor Countries (DC). The changes resulted in better use of the allocated financial resources and the implementation of a larger number of employee mobilities.

The main quality goals were achieved by expanding international cooperation, maintaining the level of existing interinstitutional agreements, and permanent cooperation between project promoter and partnering universities. The results were achieved by the students participating in the project gaining new skills, practical experience, learning new educational methods (e.g. based on online tools) and developing language skills and competences related to information technologies. The additional benefits include: increasing opportunities on the labour market, learning foreign languages, increasing openness, awareness of the need for further education, improving intercultural, IT and entrepreneurial competences, developing teamwork skills, problem solving, creativity, risk-taking, responsibility and the ability to work in a team. international environment. Employees had the opportunity to establish cooperation and development opportunities in the field of exchanging experiences, good practices and conversations regarding joint ventures such as projects, publications, educational offers for students.

Summary of bilateral results

The cooperation with the participating institutions in the project has been clear, we have not encountered any difficulties. All Partner Universities sent various information on an ongoing basis regarding the situation and current regulations (e.g. deadline dates, restrictions, etc.). The partners were always willing to help and very competent. The exchange of e-mail correspondence was usually efficiently and effective. The bilateral relationship between the project promoter and Partner Universities has been strengthened. Planned mobilities brought mutual benefits to recipients in which the students and the staff could get acquainted not only with the education system of partner universities, but also with the culture of Norway, Iceland and Poland. At the same time universities were able to promote their programs and offers abroad. The exchange of students and academic staff, experience and thoughts will intensify the collaboration and what is more will create new solutions, safe technologies and will improve still existing mechanisms. Considering all the benefits of mutual bilateral cooperation, further projects are being planned.
