Description

The project is a response to a large and growing market demand for professionals who can successfully carry out the digital transformation of organizations. Undoubtedly, the strongest catalyst for such a demand is the current pandemic situation, which has caused companies to move their operations to the electronic market space. This could only be done by those organizations that were preprepared in this regard and launched activities leading to the digitization of business processes and the opening of online communication channels. Another factor is the development of ICT technologies (Data Science/Big Data, Industry 4.0), which provide new opportunities. The aim of the project is to improve the quality of education and adjust the educational offer to market requirements by developing a canvas for a personal business model for the Digital Transformation Leader position, 3 programs: specialties, postgraduate studies and training, as well as a guide with tools supporting the implementation of the developed programs in the on- line. The final recipients of the results will be the universities themselves implementing the developed programs, teachers and students implementing the programs. The project will involve 3 mobilities for learning and exchange of experiences (2 in PL, 1 in ISL). The academic teachers involved in the project (8 teachers) will take part in each mobility. Additionally, as part of the last workshop, it was planned to test the program among a group of 15 Polish students. Universities and training institutions will be able to use lesson plans, e-learning courses and the methodology of conducting online classes, which will affect the quality of teaching and better adapt education programs to the needs of the economy. The implementation of an innovative study program at UITM will affect the quality and effectiveness of education (increase in the level of employment of graduates), and, consequently, in building a competitive advantage of the university.

Summary of project results

Project activities included the development of an innovative training program "Digital Transformation Leader", designed within the framework of Design Thinking, and the Digital Transformation Leader training program, which prepares students for the challenges of digital transformation. Additionally, the project provided teachers, who will conduct classes (as part of training or study programs), with tools such as an online game, scenarios, or a toolbox. The developed tools were based on a job framework developed through the analysis of job offers and scientific publications related to digital transformation-related positions. The developed framework of the personal business model for the position can be used by companies looking to deepen the digital transformation process. Thanks to the developed framework, they will gain awareness of the requirements regarding skills/knowledge of specific knowledge areas.

The project contributes to better aligning the offerings of higher education institutions with the demands of the job market and increasing the competitiveness of graduates in the market. Through the implementation of project activities and the development of intellectual results, solutions have been developed in the field of comprehensive training of staff for companies during continuous digital transformation.

Cooperation with Reykjavik University as part of the project has brought benefits both in terms of the quality of the project results and inspiration for future joint initiatives. Primarily, this institution has enriched our activities by providing high-quality expertise in the field of innovation and digital transformation of enterprises, enabling us to better understand the challenges associated with digital transformation of organizations and then translate this knowledge into results in the form of study programs and training programs. Thanks to the involvement of Reykjavik University, we have been able to:Develop more comprehensive and market-adapted education programs, taking into account the latest trends in the labor market and business.Develop an innovative approach to creating business models for leaders of digital transformation, which will contribute to a more effective preparation of specialists in this field.Expand our knowledge through the exchange of experiences and best practices with experts from Reykjavik University. In the meantime, we continue our fruitful cooperation with Reykjavik University by implementing further projects. Within the Erasmus Plus program, we are developing a project that draws on our previous experiences, especially the use of the design thinking method during classes. This innovative method, which we also apply in our "Digital Transformation Leader" training program, allows us to prepare specialists for the challenges of digital transformation even more effectively.Furthermore, we are continuing our collaboration through a joint project under the Erasmus Plus program. We have also submitted a project proposal under the NAWA - Cooperation Partnerships program. Additionally, we are conducting joint research and work together on scientific articles.
