Description
The aim of the project is to develop knowledge and increase the potential of 10 employees of partner institutions. The activities involve the dissemination of the results proposing the humanistic paradigm of learning and emphasizing the need to change the organizational culture of the organization of the education sector into one that will support the quality of learning. Focusing on the needs of the learner and the creation of an integrated learning environment by organizations is to help in achieving this goal. The developed products will support the development of the project staff and partner organizations (analysis of the environment and conditions of remote education), as well as the dissemination of knowledge about the quality culture in learning (report on the organizational culture survey of the members of the sector). Their aim will also be to equip educators to work with organizations by providing a tool for diagnosing organizational culture conducive to the quality of learning and the use of an integrated approach to the management of development processes (course). The developed results will be implemented in 2 sector organizations, as well as among 12 members of the education sector. All products will be available as ORE, which will increase the impact of the project. Dissemination activities will be carried out, among others, in Warsaw, Kraków, Rzeszów, Poznań and they will involve around 150 workers of the participants.
Summary of project results
Creating tools for changing organizational culture in education sector organizations was a key challenge to which the implemented project responded. Changes towards a learning culture contribute to improving the quality of work within educational institutions, and thus translate into the quality of the services they offer. The project''s results and products are rooted in a humanistic paradigm that puts the needs of the learner at the center of the educational process.
As part of the activities undertaken, the partners developed two educational products, a research report and an analysis of distance education at the Jagiellonian University Extension (JUE). Representatives of the target group (approx.160 people) were involved in the creation and implementation of educational products through, among others, pilot testing of the learning culture diagnosis tool. Product innovation involves focusing on the process of team and organizational learning as a key and desirable distinguishing feature of the organizational culture of education sector institutions. At the same time, the developed products form an integrated whole by providing a qualitative diagnosis of the sector''s situation (report), a study that builds recipients'' awareness of the learning culture (course) and an organizational intervention tool (diagnosis tool). The partners also trained in Trondheim 8 people from the management staff of the JUE and the Polish Chamber of Training Companies (PCTC) in the creation of asynchronous courses and learned about Norwegian educational experiences. The project results were promoted during five dissemination events, including an international conference. Over 150 educators, trainers, facilitators, coaches and HR specialists participated in the events in Warsaw, Poznań, Wrocław and Kraków.
Participation in workshops and conferences enabled them to acquire knowledge on creating an integrated learning environment in organizations (learning culture) and equipped them with tools for change (asynchronous course, diagnosis tool). Additionally, around 9000 people became familiar with issues related to learning in organizations through contact with various project results. In addition to the educational value for the final beneficiaries, the project had a transformational impact for the offer of JUE and its cooperation with the PCTC. Bringing the partner institutions closer together under the project resulted e.g joint implementation of "Adult Learning Days 2024".
Summary of bilateral results
Our cooperation with IDN dates back to 2019, when we jointly prepared a project for Education Program regarding the development challenges of Industry 4.0. This project is the second initiative that we have implemented together. Cooperation with an entity from Norway evokes positive associations between project recipients and Scandinavian countries, which supports the project''s promotional activities. Additionally, partners from Norway provide access to organizations in this country and establish further contacts. At the same time, it should be noted that in many areas, experts from WUJ and PIFS had a sense of partnership and equal sharing of knowledge and experience in the field of non-formal education with Norwegian organizations. What is surprising is the resistance we have encountered among various Norwegian partners towards learning also from our experiences - often the first intuition is to stick to the lecture form, not the interactive one. The trust between WUJ, PIFS and IDN was also a significant factor in the implemented initiative. We plan to continue our almost 5-year-long work with IDN, although its formats and specific projects have not yet been agreed upon.
