Description
Operating since 2010 with a motto Innovation-Creativity-Daring, the school offers an ambitious education system that supports student performance & independence. Adolescents (16-20 y.o.) are prepared for university studies with choice of Social Studies & Humanities, sports, arts, science and special ed programs. The program is based on differentiating the didactic process adapted to individual needs. MTR offers flexible learning options: in the classroom, self-study with access to school’s material, and distance learning, with 500 students enrolled, 70 in-class and 430 collaborating online this year. The experience in remote & hybrid learning has brought the staff many awards. Lockdown 2020 did not disrupt the school''s work. In the online system, students’ achievements were still very high; teachers, parents & students rated the experience positively. Willingness to share good practices, but also to create a new educational offer is the reason for MTR’s participation in the project.
Summary of project results
The project contributed to expanding the educational offer of schools with original remote-learning tools based on project-based learning methods. We made available online eight CONNECTED LEARNING EDUCATIONAL MODULES (with a complete set of instructions and supplementary materials for students and teachers), enabling learning through international online student collaboration. Additionally, an interactive tool, STRENGTHS-FINDER ANALYZER - an interactive test allowing verification of readiness for hybrid teaching, WEBINAR: TeachHybrid - a video course improving hybrid teaching practice, as well as a video GUIDE "From teaching to learning - the change in our eyes" discussing the teaching methodology promoted in the project and presenting the opinions of students and teachers.

These products have been tested and highly rated by approximately 900 students from secondary schools in Poland, Iceland, Greece, Indonesia, and Turkey. Our project and the results, which we disseminated not only during project events, were very warmly received and generated high interest, which confirms our belief that the project results will be used by the target beneficiaries.
Summary of bilateral results
The collaboration with the Icelandic secondary school MTR was crucial for the project due to the partner''s extensive experience in remote teaching using a wide range of digital tools, used daily by teachers and students at that school. Understanding the working methods of this educational institution portrayed to our team how effectively education can be structured, with the student truly at the center of attention and gaining autonomy in the teaching process on a scale rarely seen in European systems. Polish project participants had the opportunity to benefit from the knowledge and best practices applied at the school in Ólafsfjörður. Additionally, thanks to training conducted by Icelandic teachers during the last two dissemination conferences, participants of these events also gained from this knowledge. The Icelandic partner''s knowledge and expertise were also very helpful in working on educational modules, where a significant element was the selection of programs and applications used in international student collaboration in the Connected Learning format. The involvement of the Icelandic partner was also crucial for the development of the webinar (online course) and video guide, which are also project outcomes. Close social ties were established between the Polish team and the Icelandic partner during the project. As a result of these successful interactions, both professional and personal, further joint actions are planned, which will continue the fruitful cooperation and exchange of ideas between Polish and Icelandic educational institutions.
