Summary of project results

The main challenge of the project was to increase human potential in the field of education, strengthen relations between the exchange participants and broaden the knowledge of the Polish and Norwegian participants. Participation in the project effectively contributed to increasing scholarly and artistic potential of the students and pedagogues of the Academy of Music in Łódź and the University of Stvanger, Faculty of Performing Arts

The three-month mobilities of three Polish students at the University of Stavanger (and one student from Stavanger at the University of Music in Łódź) enabled them to gain knowledge and improve their performance and interpretation skills. they allowed the students'' skills to be presented abroad and compared with the achievements of their peers from abroad. The mobilities also helped improve the students'' linguistic skills. Those study periods also provided a valuable opportunity to establish relationships with the pedagogues and students, which in the future may result in further cooperation within their own professional careers.

The participation of eight Polish pedagogues and three Norwegian ones in the project enabled the promotion of their achievements and skills. They had the opportunity to perform in three concerts. During four organisational and content-related meetings, the pedagogues had the opportunity to exchange their experiences on how to organise study programmes in instrumental performance, teaching methodology and content knowledge of performance and interpretation issues. The Polish pedagogues conducted a total of almost 100 hours of masterclasses with students in Stavanger, while the Norwegian pedagogues ran ca. 40 teaching hours. The mutual commitment, openness and friendliness of the participants, resulted in the establishment of good relationships and contributed to the creation of plans for further scholarly and artistic cooperation.

Summary of bilateral results

he cooperation between the University of Music in Łódź and the Norwegian partner institution University of Stavanger (Faculty of Performing Arts) was very good throughout the project. Frequent online meetings were organized between Pedagogues from the University of Music in Łódź and the University of Stavanger. The talks concerned both substantive and organizational issues in the scope of planned mobilities. The arrangements made during the meetings were implemented without delay. It should be emphasized that the Norwegian part was very involved in the project preparation and substantive and artistic care of the Polish students. During the term of the agreement, sixteen mobilities were carried out: three student trips (piano and harpsichord specialties) and eight didactic trips of teachers (piano, chamber music, cello and violin) from Łódź to Stavanger; while from Stavanger to Łódź there was one student visit (specialty: piano) and four visits of teachers (three didactic ones of piano, chamber music and conducting) and one staff training visit.
