The project aimed to reduce economic and social disparities within the EEA and to strengthen bilateral relations between Iceland, Norway and Poland. The project aimed to increase access to mobility projects for students and staff from both Poland and Donor countries.
The target groups were students (no distinction was made with regard to gender or level of education) and academic and administrative staff, both from Poland and the Donor countries.
The following mobilities were done:
- 2 mobilitiies for studying to Iceland
- 1 study mobility to Norway,
- 2 teaching mobilities to Iceland
- 1 training mobility to Iceland
- 1incoming mobility for placements from Iceland.
The implementation of mobility has had a direct impact on the development of participants'' competences and skills. The experience gained during the mobility allowed for personal development, strengthening self-esteem and self-confidence and facilitating the establishment of relationships and contacts in an international environment. For the staff, the development of professional competences such as strengthening contacts, strengthening cooperation with the institution and exchanging good practices was most important. In a long-term context, the experience of the participants is reflected in the creation of a global social network and influences the development of identified areas of cooperation and the teaching/research potential of the participating institutions through the exchange of information, knowledge, ideas, human resources and technology.
The exchange project strengthened links between different cultures and promoted mutual understanding. The implementation of the project also aimed to promote cooperation between institutions and strengthen existing partnerships.
The project provided real support to the activities of the UNIGREEN Alliance - the European University, which includes project promoter institution and the Agricultural University of Iceland. This synergy made it possible to strengthen the partnership and achieve the project objectives by promoting student mobility and cultural exchange between Poland and Iceland.
Summary of bilateral results
A key action of the cooperation was the exchange of students. They had the opportunity to spend a semester or do a training at the partner university, which allowed them to gain new educational and cultural experiences. This mobility fostered an understanding of differences and similarities in approaches to learning, which enriched their knowledge and skills. In addition to students, our teachers and staff had the opportunity to participate in training and teaching exchanges. This enabled them to gain new perspectives and knowledge that can be used in their daily work.Still, involvement in the project was not evenly distributed, with the project promoter being the main initiator of activities. However, Donor State partners responded positively to suggestions and requests.
