The project "Good teaching and research practices in management & business studies" has been prepared to establish cooperation between Lazarski University (ULa) and Reykjavik University (UR). The initial date of the five-day visit was scheduled for the second week of September 2021. However, due to the pandemic situation, the date may change.
Participation in the project will give ULa a chance to strengthen the potential of the management and lecturing staff of the Management and Finance & Accounting programs. Apart from establishing cooperation between the universities, the goals of the study visit include 1. gaining knowledge of good practices in the field of management in education - the participants of the visit are Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management and Director of the Management and Finance and Accounting Programme, thus the knowledge gained by them will have an impact on the way the aforementioned English-language studies. 2. improvement of language competences of the participants of the trip. Gaining knowledge about good practices in the field of education. 4. gaining knowledge of good practices in conducting research and publishing results of scientific work. UR has significant achievements here, publications prepared by the employees of this university are most often quoted. 5. strengthening the potential of women participating in the visit by gaining knowledge about the way of organising studies at the UR Business Department.
The visit is planned for three persons, all of them are employees of the Faculty of Economics and Management at the UŁa, two participants of the trip are decision makers who have an influence on the development of the faculty and shaping the didactic and scientific process at the university. All participants have many years of experience in teaching students and have experience in conducting research and implementing projects.
Summary of project results
The project was implemented to establish cooperation between Lazarski University and Reykjavik University in the field of research experience and educational programs implemented at both institutions. During the visit, participants learned about the research infrastructure and forms of grant funding at the Icelandic university. Good teaching practices were shared, and teaching methods used at both universities were discussed. There was an exchange of good practices in the area of teaching, an introduction to "learning by doing" and a presentation of academic initiatives and the university''s model of cooperation with the economic environment. A schedule for future cooperation was prepared. During the preparations, the pandemic situation was monitored for the possibility of realizing the mobility. The beneficiary reported that the main objectives of the Study Visit were realized 100%. First of all, cooperation was established between Reykjavik University and Lazarski University. In addition, the language competencies of the participants of the visit were strengthened, and new knowledge was gained about good practices in conducting scientific research and publishing the results of scientific papers. On the second day of the visit, participants had the opportunity to learn about the way research papers are conducted, financed and published at UR. The cooperation with the partner university was smooth and served the project''s goals well.
Summary of bilateral results
A schedule for future cooperation was prepared. During the preparations, the pandemic situation was monitored for the possibility of realizing the mobility. First of all, cooperation was established between Reykjavik University and Lazarski University.
