Summary of project results
The main objective of the project is to raise the level of professional development of the staff of the Foundation (FAIE) through the exchange of experience on new methods and tools used by the Norwegian organization Åpenhet in supporting the process of adult education. During the study visit, activities were carried out on getting to know each other and establishing cooperation between the teams of the Foundation (FAIE) and the host organization Åpenhet, both institutions exchanged experiences in the following areas: data, structure, principles of operation, financing, methods and tools used, and characteristics of the Polish and Norwegian adult education system. In addition, the participants of the visit increased their knowledge of Åpenhet''s methods of data analysis in the education sector and author''s tools for preparing presentations of educational materials, learned about the history and principles of the cultural and educational center "Sentralen" in Oslo - as an example of networking. The implementation of the project proceeded according to schedule. The planned objectives of the project were realized in 100%. As part of the results of the visit, the level of knowledge and skills of Polish professional adult education staff was raised through the implementation of the substantive plan of the study visit in terms of exchanging experiences about the Polish and Norwegian education systems, learning about the methods used by Åpenhet in terms of proprietary tools for the presentation of educational materials, as well as networking activities. In addition, discussions were held on planning development activities between partner organizations in the context of raising the competence of Polish organizations from the adult education sector to support the process of adult education.
Summary of bilateral results
Due to the scale of the project and its nature, it should be recognized that it has an essentially long-term impact on both participating organizations. This is due to the basic element of establishing a partnership between the sending organization, FAIE, and the receiving organization, Åpenhet. Due to the peculiarities of the operation and approach to cooperation of organizations from the EEA countries with organizations from the rest of Europe, the establishment of closer relations between FAIE and Åpenhet should be considered a success for both parties (the Norwegian host organization has so far not cooperated with NGOs from Poland). An important element influencing both organizations is that the teams got to know each other personally, which essentially raises the level of trust necessary to continue cooperation. Moreover, thanks to the study visit, both organizations gained knowledge about the structure, problems, rules of operation and financing of entities in the adult education sector - both in Norway and Poland.
