6 people from the staff of the Pomeranian University in Słupsk will take part in the higher education mobility projects, as well as 6 people from the staff of the University of Agder in Norway.

Mobility for the research and teaching staff is a great opportunity to develop their competences as well as to establish wide contacts necessary for the implementation of international research projects.

Summary of project results

The Pomeranian University in Słupsk implemented the project "Education Program" Element II as part of a staff exchange with our Norwegian partner University in Kristand.
The project included 10 mobility of research staff (4 mobility of Norwegian staff and 6 mobility of Polish staff).
The project made it possible to carry out a number of activities aimed at comparing the education systems in Poland and Norway, as well as the analysis of methods and techniques of work during classes. These activities allowed for the evaluation of the own workshop and the improvement of methodological competences. During meetings with lecturers and students of partner universities, analyzes of the needs and expectations of both universities were carried out and an outline of further cooperation was prepared, e.g. as part of the translation of texts in Polish, English and Norwegian. Mobility for the research and teaching staff is a great opportunity to develop their competences as well as to establish wide contacts necessary for the implementation of international research projects. The exchange of staff between partner universities was full of interesting scientific discussions and was a contribution to the initiation of joint cooperation for science, strengthened the already ongoing cooperation and gave an impulse for further joint projects. The project participants who won the admission process carried out by the Development and Cooperation Office represented various scientific fields: applied philology, natural sciences, national security. Participants will exchange experiences and good practices with employees of the Pomeranian University in Słupsk and will be able to implement certain solutions in teaching Agder University students in their country thanks to the proposed changes in their education.

Summary of bilateral results

Cooperation with the University before the pandemic was intense and fruitful. Both universities and both cities have a lot of similarities. Both the Pomeranian University and the University of Agder were established after the 2000s as a result of the development of local Pedagogical Higher Schools; have almost the same number of students and staff. Kristiansand and Słupsk are cities of similar size, located close to the sea.The connections of the Słupsk region with Scandinavia also have very old historical roots. Both universities have a bilateral agreement signed with the University of Agder within the framework of Erasmus + program. As part of the Erasmus + program, we implement student mobility under this agreement and research workers of our University. We also hosted representatives of the University of Agder with us several times at the university as visiting professors who participated in conferences and conducted classes indoctoral school. In the next seven years, both universities intend to continue and develop our cooperation partnership between universities in various projects.Having a partner with the Donor State, in this case, the Norwegian university - Agder University in Kristiansand is very advanced for Project Promotor. Both universities are continuing our cooperation with a partner in the Erasmus + program, we hope to participate in an additional project: the Education Program.
