There is one participant from IFiS, he will run the planned seminar.

Summary of project results

The most important result of the project and the study visit itself was a doctoral seminar at the Institute of Philosophy of the Polish Academy of Sciences on migration policy and the inclusion of immigrants in the educational processes of host countries in Europe. The participant of the visit was Dr. Rafal Smoczynski, who was responsible for organizing the doctoral seminar. During the course of the project, including a visit to Universitetet i Bergen [Senter for kvinne- og kjønnsforskning], with which IFIS PAN has been cooperating since 2010, the following activities were carried out: the literature on the subject was collected, the program and methodology of the seminar in the field of inclusive education were developed, and the program of the seminar course was prepared. The project promoter reported that the visit went smoothly and all the intended goals were met. The visit consisted of the following structural elements: discussion of theoretical issues from the field of migration and gender studies, issues of inclusive education of immigrants in host countries and social reactions to immigrants in Europe. During the stay, the idea of future cooperation with researchers from other Scandinavian countries on starting a joint research and education project on social reactions towards immigrants in Europe and immigrant integration was also discussed. The project was implemented according to the planned schedule, however, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the project was implemented on schedule: 01.08.2022 - 31.01.2023. In the long term, the students'' participation in the doctoral seminar will improve their competence in the field of migration sciences, particularly in terms of social reactions to immigrants in Poland and Europe and the importance of inclusive education for immigrants in host countries.
