The project concerns the organization of a study visit of representatives of the Education Office of the City of Warsaw in the persons of the Directors and substantive personel in the City of Oslo.The study visit will take place in spring 2020.The main object of the project is to bridge socio-economic differences in education within the EEA.On the basis of experience resulting from the organization of a study visit, the applicant will implement or create solutions aimed at improving the quality of the educational offer of the Capital City of Warsaw, while managing the financial resources held for education more effectively..An additional benefit resulting from the implementation of the project will be establishing partnership relations with representatives of the city of Oslo in the field of education, which may cause into the implementation of further educational projects.The project will affect the inhabitants of Warsaw, in particular students, teachers and educational staff.

Summary of project results

The aim of the study tour was to bridge the socio-economic disparities in education within the EEA. This was done by learning about best practices in the fields of education funding, distance learning, learning about the similarities and differences between the two countries'' education systems, learning about interesting educational solutions and working with a Norwegian partner. As part of the project, a 3-day study trip for 5 people was organised to the Norwegian reception centre Oslo kommune. The result of these meetings was to increase the competence of the management and content staff of the capital Warsaw, who are responsible for education. During the visit, the participants learned about solutions that are applied in Norwegian education, which can be applied on Polish soil. Among other things, they will contribute to improving the quality of education in Warsaw’s educational institutions.

Summary of bilateral results

The host institution was very involved in organising the study trip. On the basis of shared experiences, the representatives of the capital Warsaw and the partners from Oslo intend to deepen their long-term cooperation, which will lead to a visit of the delegation from Oslo to Warsaw and to collaborate on other projects. Monitoring was carried out on an ongoing basis. As part of the information and promotion activities, the beneficiary maintains a subpage of the project.
