Description
The aim of the project is to increase the competence of the teaching staff,establish cooperation between Rudolf Steiner University College in Oslo and the Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin and to develop a research plan based on acquired experience. The concept of the project involves learning the peculiarities of the functioning of one of the Norwegian Universities,ways of using different program,methodological and organizational solutions.The aim is also to exchange scientific thought,which is the basic value in higher education,to learn about the so-called good practices,acquiring additional knowledge and skills related to pedagogy of Rudolf Steiner.The participants of the project will be 2 scientific and didactic employees and 2 didactic employees,dealing with the issues of early child education in a situation of social,cultural and educational change.The experience acquired by the participants will translate into an improvement in the quality of education.
Summary of project results
The goal of the project is to increase the competence of the teaching staff, establish cooperation between Rudolf Steiner University College in Oslo and UMCS in Lublin, and develop a plan of scientific and research activities, based on the acquired experience. The concept of the project is to learn how to use different curricular, methodological, spatial and organizational solutions, acquire additional knowledge and skills related to Rudolf Steiner''s pedagogy. Participants of the visit attended lectures on the assumptions of R. Steiner''s pedagogy, delivered by employees: Dagny Ringheim, Frode Barkved, Steinar Dohlen, Vilde Stabel and Anne-Mette Stabel, and discussed the model of early childhood education teacher training according to R. Steiner''s concepts. In addition, they participated in activities at Vidarasen Camphill - educational institutions (kindergarten, elementary school, school for children with special educational needs). Within the framework of the Study Visit, discussions were initiated on areas of scientific and research cooperation between UMCS Lublin and RSUC Oslo. All the assumed goals of the project were achieved: there was professional development of the participants - during the visit, the project participants were able to experience the model of education of future teachers of preschool and school education implemented at the RSUC in Oslo, they had the opportunity to learn about and understand the initiatives undertaken, which can enrich the Polish system of education in the field of preschool and early school education through the adoption of good practices in the field of alternative curricular, methodological and organizational solutions. In addition, discussions were held about the possibility of carrying out joint research work. Knowledge, experience and contacts needed for the development of the study program at the UMCS in Lublin were gained. The rich scientific program was complemented by participation in events that allowed people to learn about Nordic culture (Edvard Munch Museum and Gustav Vigeland Park in Oslo). This fostered relationships between the staff of UMCS Lublin and RSUC Oslo. Dissemination activities were conducted in the local and scientific community with simultaneous promotion of the EEA Funds. A publication for the journal Prima Educatione was also prepared.
Summary of bilateral results
The cooperation went smoothly. The host side prepared a detailed program for the visit. Daily academic activities lasted from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The rich academic program was complemented by participation in events that allowed to learn about Nordic culture (Edvard Munch Museum and Gustav Vigeland Park in Oslo). This fostered relationships between the staff of UMCS Lublin and RSUC Oslo. Plans are underway to recruit an academic from RSUC Oslo to teach at UMCS Lublin as a visiting professor.
