Problems in the implementation of the project resulted from external circumstances beyond the control of the Beneficiary or the partnersthey had no influence. First of all, it was the COVID-19 epidemic, which resulted in restrictionscultural activities and travel introduced by both Polish and Norwegian authorities. They resulted in the need to re-arrange and constantly update the project activities schedule. The direct result was the postponement of activities with the audience - which started only in August2021 (the project was originally planned to open in April 2021). It turned out to be necessaryalso dividing the residence of the "Gardzienice" theater in Norway into two parts: the first one in October(workshops, closed shows and joint work with Stella Polaris), and the second one - in February 2022(public presentations).
On June 25-29, 2021, a study visit of Norwegian partners took place inLublin and Gardzienice. The head of the Stella Polaris theater - Per Borg i - took part in itproject coordinator on the Norwegian side - Thorunn Hagberg. Norwegian guestsvisited the places of planned artistic events (complex facilitiespalace and park in Gardzienice, building of the Center for the Meeting of Cultures in Lublinand the square in front of it), participated in the Center''s performances and held a number of eventsdirect meetings with representatives of other partners - thanks to thisdetails of further project activities, in particular the Opening, were established. The official opening of the project took place in the last week of August.
3 exhibitions were presented at the CSK in Lublin (a place of frequent meetings for people who do not visit theaters)., including one (Towards the Meeting of Cultures (...)") in the main communication route of the building - yesattract new audiences to theater and art;- similarly, an exhibition of 9 Polish visual artists was publicly presented in the centerSandefjord at the Sandefjord Art Society Gallery, next to the Scandic Park Hotel,- outdoor activities were organized (also outside large cities) in publicly accessible places. The following events took place: outdoor shows in Lublin at Teatralny Square (Stella Polaris'' performance "The Shaman''s Dream"August 2021) and in Gardzienice (opening of the project - August 2021, joint theater marathonApril 23, 2022). Thanks to this, local residents could participate in theater events.Another element that allowed for the development of the audience was making it available to viewers to participate in all eventsactivities in the project on an unpaid basis.Extensive activities were also carried out on social media in order to reach new peoplerecipients.A professional audiovisual recording of the new production has been prepared, which will allow accessto a new audience, including people with disabilities.
