Description

The main problem to be solved through the implementation of the Project is the low sensitivity of the city to climate change, manifested primarily by increased greenhouse gas emissions and periodic floods caused by heavy rainfall.PEP2030 The development of green and blue infrastructure in the area of the city of Piastów fits into the PEP objective: Environment and Climate. Mitigating and adapting to climate changes and preventing the risk of natural disasters. This type of activities are listed. 

 

In the Project, measures in the field of adaptation and mitigation as well as educational and informational activities are planned, which will contribute to solving the above-mentioned problems to the greatest extent. The methodology for selecting the measures is based on the analysis of strategic documents (European,national, regional and local), an empirical diagnosis of the current state of the city and the results of the discussion panel of experts and city authorities. 

 

he expected results of the project implementation include: 

- reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in the city, 

- increase the area of green areas in the city, 

- improving the small retention system. 

 

Who is expected to benefit from this project and how will they benefit? (max 200 characters) 

The direct target group is the inhabitants of the city of Piastów. All of them will benefit indirectly citizens of Poland and donor countries. 

 

The aim of the partnership is to jointly prepare and implement the Project. The partnership was concluded with entities having knowledge and experience in promoting green-blue solutions 

infrastructure in cities. Partners were selected through an independent search. Partners'' members are specialists, experts, lecturers who provide support in choosing optimal solutions 

on responding to urban climate change. In doing so, it contributes to achieving the results of the Project. The partners bring knowledge and experience of the expert to the Project.
