Description

The Project aims to develop a prototype of an innovative multi-apartment residential house management platform HOUSELOG, to test it and to study its adaptation possibilities in the existing infrastructure in Latvia and Norway.

Developing an energy efficiency block and Virtual Assistant will make the HOUSELOG platform a novelty in the global market.

The specialists of Riga Technical University will ensure testing of the prototype platform in the laboratory and development of proposals.

Within the framework of the Project, knowledge transfer activities will be carried out together with the Norwegian partner Bjørn Naustvik, who will provide the Company with consultations and a vision on the integration of the platform into the existing infrastructure in Norway.

Summary of project results

The aim of the Project was to develop a prototype of an innovative multi-apartment residential house management platform HOUSELOG, to test it and to study its adaptation possibilities in the existing infrastructure in Latvia and Norway.

Within the implementation of the project the platform HOUSELOG has been developed and the platform reached the TRL level 6 of technology readiness. After additional work, testing and running-in, which the Company will carry out at its own expense afterwards, the platform will be ready for promotion to the market and offer it to the potential customers.

The HOUSELOG platform is a full-fledged alternative to the existing multi-apartment residential house management programs, as well as it already has several unique functions, which is new in the global market: an energy efficiency block and a Virtual Assistant.

The platform will be available for the use to management companies, apartment owners, or authorized persons of multi-apartment residential houses.

The benefits of introducing the platform:

  • for residents – more information on the operation of the building, possibilities to reduce energy costs, and long-term data-based decision-making.
  • in public buildings – reduction of energy supply costs, reduction of the number of building service personnel, use of the entire useful energy potential of the city, savings of funds in the city budget, etc.

The platform is ready to provide residents with an environment where they get the data in a comprehensible way, based on which they can decide. These decisions are important not only from the point of view of preservation of the structure and energy-efficient management, but they are important for the reduction of the risks of social inequality as well. Social benefits of the introduction of the HOUSELOG platform:

  • it will promote the involvement of society in addressing issues of citizen interest and decision-making.
  • it will enable people with reduced mobility to participate actively in the citizens'' meetings, voting, and decision-making.

The HOUSELOG platform is intended for use in the Latvian and other countries'' house management market. The company has chosen Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia as the primary target market for HOUSELOG platform due to their proximity. These markets have a similar situation in terms of infrastructure, housing stock, climate, etc.

The experimental development and testing of the concept and platform prototype for the product have been completed. Analytics were also performed to evaluate the technological aspects for the full development of the prototype and their further approbation in commercial use. The prototype has been completed and tested, incl. it has been proven that the developed technology works or differs only minimally from the planned system. The developed prototype has been completed and tested, incl. it has been proven that the developed technology works or differs only minimally from the planned system. It will take approximately 3 to 5 months for the system to be completed and tested, including final testing and validation of the system to ensure that it is operational in its final form.

Summary of bilateral results

It has to be mentioned that knowledge transfer activities in cooperation with the Norwegian partner were actively carried out through all the stages of project implementation, including:-advising on the selection of data from the microclimate control equipment for the presentation of energy efficiency indicators on the HOUSELOG platform,-providing insight into the remote systems for indoor microclimate devices and smart district heating networks in Norway;-preparation of solutions for integration of the HOUSELOG platform into the smart network data processing and analysing systems. The results are not shared, the collaboration brought the better version of the system protype developed within the implementation of the project.
