Summary of project results

On the conclusion of the project, the Society concludes that the objective has been achieved in full, with volunteers engaged and active throughout the project, even more people as planned.

It is important to emphasise that it was initially difficult for the project target group to explain that this time the lessons are intended not for others, but for themselves, that it is a support for the brewers themselves. Because there had never been such a situation before. All class visitors expressed great gratitude to managers, the association and the AIF for this opportunity. And acknowledged that such aid was actually extremely significant and needed. Because it gives more power to operate itself. And there is also a school for how to better help others. Consequently, it succeeded not only to support volunteers but also to give them the tools to work with people from the war zone.

During the implementation of the project, 13 people who had never been volunteers were involved and active in volunteering. However, on a temporary basis, the way volunteers engaged in a much higher number of people and several involved as consultants for arrivals helped to address video filming. The process of creating video has led many to understand the importance of what is happening very directly and unambiguously. It encourages a more active interest in what is happening to exit the bubble of your lack of information.

Video – stories of Ukrainian residents were also captured during the project. Video captured is an indispensable value, both as a reflection of what is happening now and in the future as the preservation of true historical facts.

A major result of the project is also the gathering of all the necessary information in one place - for Ukrainians who arrive in Latvia - a public group was created on the Facebook platform, which compiles and regularly supplements information in the Ukrainian language regarding the possibilities for receiving assistance in Latvian municipalities, as well as the contact details of the responsible authorities and the geographical coordinates of the largest cities of Latvia.
