Description

The aim of the project is to empower the capacity of our organization “Youth society of Koknese” by creating a new public image and promoting its recognition in society, as well as by starting entrepreneurship to ensure the long-term sustainability of the organization.

We have set out four main project activities to promote the long-term sustainability and to achieve the goals of youth work of our organization:
1.    Development of the entrepreneurship and capacity-building;
2.    Summer school for youth workers as a pilot tryout;
3.    Designing the organizations website and its maintenance;
4.    Creating and promoting the public image of the organization in society.

We will achieve a significant step towards financial independence and recognition beyond local district, as a result of the project.  We will create at least five non-formal education programmes as paid offers ; design a new logo, visual publicity materials and more attractive and easily  maintained  website; organize one summer school for youth workers as pilot event to try it out  as future business offer; recruit a publicity coordinator for the management of the organization’s information channels and communication with the public; improve the management capacity of the organization by implementing coaching training and exchange of experience with other similar organizations.

With the help of this project we will promote the recognition of the organization in the wider society, provide an offer of non-formal education as a basis for the development of our entrepreneurship in the future, improve communication with the media and society, which in general will raise the quality of our organization “Youth society of Koknese” and will be a serious kick-off in our path to the peak of development - to new challenges in promoting youth civil engagement and involvement in social improvement activities.

Summary of project results

The aim of the project was to promote the visibility of the association and the creation of a new public image, as well as to launch an economic activity to ensure the sustainability of the organisation.

In June, one of the most ambitious projects of the Youth Society was completed. They''ve had big changes throughout the year!

The first step – at the end of 2022, was the association''s strategy and all the work to be done was put together on paper, and came to a mission in a single sentence - helping young people to see their potential and use internal resources for personal development.

The second step was taken with the members of the Society in terms of judging, thinking and deciding in favour of a new name. As the best option was recognised, the Youth Society “SOLIS”. On the other hand, social networks and communication activities attracted a youth who brought new breeze to the work of the organisation and helped to prepare a number of interesting creative quizzes and games.

The third step led to the new logo of the association: a competition for a sketch of the logo was launched and a sketch of the wood carrier was chosen as the basis for the new logo, which had the highest number of votes on social networks.

A fourth step was taken by the Society in the summer of 2022 by organising a summer school for youth workers, which included expert lectures on sponsorship, personality types, healthy lifestyle lessons and creative activities such as making, painting, visiting local businessmen, and a night walk to the Cape Cod. The summer school is one of the business offers developed by the society. Project activities coordinator Ieva Uthene prepared training or training programmes for children, young people, youth workers, corporate clients and organisations.

The activities of the Society include creative workshops, project-writing masters, personality growth and team-building activities, digital tools workshops, support groups and adjustment programs for young people, hiking and activities in nature, summer school, quiet school.

Step Five called for a great deal of work and an evaluation of its past activities and an analysis of information to reach the society''s long-awaited supplement – the homepage of the new association! The project team states: “The page is our porfolio and a significant part of the new identity.”

This project has contributed significantly to the development of the association: the number of followers on the pages of the association soc.t, an important platform for the deployment of information useful to young people has been developed, major areas of economic activity have been crystallised, their strengths have been identified, and their local and regional awareness has been increased through successful communication.
