Description

The aim of the project is organise activities that would lead to development of strategic plan, improvement of skills, encourage effective participation, help to find new fundraising methods and promote achievements.  The project consists of several activities combined together; that will strengthen core and develop new activities of  the organisation. A strategic plan will be develop and will consist of 4 parts. Training will be organised for members, volunteers and specialists. Training will be split into several parts, each part will have specific topics (project implementation, financial attraction, initiative.c. ). The main emphasis will be practical tasks and skills that could be used in operation of organisation. Very significant and important will be fundraising campaign . Video clips with stories and experiences shared by families, music video clips with special need children working together with famous musicians will be created and distributed during this campaign. Posters with appeal to support campaign will be distributed. More than 50 entrepreneurs will be addressed by sending information about organisation and fundraising campaign. We will organise charity booth during Christmas market; where everyone will be able to donate in exchange for crafts created by children with special needs. Donations will used to renovate premises and the installation of a lift. Also members will participate in several experience exchange trips to different organisation. Members will be actively working with specialists throughout the duration of the project. Members will be encouraged and motivated to actively participate. Project will have very important and long lasting results. Every activity will be planned to solve or start to solve one of the needs of organisation.

 

Summary of project results

The project aimed to address several key challenges faced by the organization, including:

  1. Lack of Strategic Planning: There was a need to create a structured and comprehensive strategic plan to guide the organization’s future activities and growth effectively.

  2. Insufficient Skills and Participation: The organization needed to improve the skills of its members, volunteers, and specialists to enhance their ability to implement projects, attract funding, and take initiative. Encouraging active participation and involvement in organizational activities was another priority.

  3. Challenges in Fundraising: Identifying and developing new methods for attracting financial support was a pressing issue. The organization required innovative approaches to fundraising to support critical projects like renovating premises and installing a lift.

  4. Limited Awareness and Community Engagement: There was a need to raise awareness about the organization’s work and its impact. Engaging the community and promoting achievements were crucial for building a broader base of support and fostering inclusion.

  5. Experience and Best Practices: Members lacked exposure to successful models and practices in similar organizations. Exchange trips were essential for learning and adopting best practices.

The project identified the association''s needs and set a clear objective, leading to focused efforts during its implementation. The key accomplishments include:

  1. Development of a Strategic Plan: A comprehensive strategy plan was created to guide the association in making informed decisions and becoming a strong organization at multiple levels.

  2. Training Program “Climbing the Development Ladder”:

    • Participants acquired skills such as taking initiative, planning daily activities, analyzing and evaluating situations, writing project proposals, utilizing digital tools, and developing social and communication abilities.
    • Knowledge was gained on topics like social enterprises, project development, funding opportunities, and legal aspects of economic activities.
    • Outcomes include successfully implemented projects and new event ideas.
  3. Learning New Funding Methods: Methods like social entrepreneurship, fundraising campaigns, collaborations with donors, charity kiosks, and events were explored.

  4. Experience Exchange Visits: Visits to four organizations showcased best practices in areas such as adapting facilities for people with disabilities and methods for securing funding and conducting economic activities.

  5. Awareness Activities in the Local Community: These activities highlighted the needs of children and youth with disabilities, promoting inclusion and engagement.

The project achieved significant results with direct benefits for association members and the broader community:

    • Increased Capacity: Strengthened the association’s capacity by improving its strategic planning, communication, and operational efficiency.
    • Enhanced Skills and Knowledge: Participants gained long-term competencies for project development, resource mobilization, and community engagement.
    • Community Awareness: Raised understanding of inclusion and acceptance of children and youth with disabilities.
  2. Specific Beneficiaries:

    • Association Members: Gained leadership skills, knowledge of funding mechanisms, and hands-on experience in project execution.

    • The strategic plan ensures the association’s future activities are targeted and effective.

    • Initiatives like the charity fair and awareness campaigns laid the groundwork for continuous community involvement.

By focusing on developing internal capacity and fostering community support, the project successfully laid a foundation for long-term growth and societal impact.
