Description

The goal of the project is to modernise the functioning and environment of the charity organisation „Palīdzēsim.lv”, by adjusting to the rhythm, dynamics, and requirements of the modern world: modernisation and improvement of the website, branding, ensuring secure data traffic and data storage, modernised communication with potential benefactors.
During the project, the current website of the organisation is going to be substantially improved, by ensuring functioning of a sustainable and modern organisation, to move towards attraction of regular donations/funding that irrespective of project submissions. Considering the current trends — increasingly more time is spent in the virtual environment — the communication with the benefactors should be convenient, clear, and transparent.  Sections in English and Russian are going to be added to the website. It allows to target foreign benefactors and supporters, as well as the Russian-speaking residents of Latvia.
The improvement of the website, including the pages in English and Russian, would be a substantial investment in strengthening the capacity of the organisation.
It is expected that by improving the website, the share of non-project revenues of the organization could increase by at least 10%  within 6 months after the end of the project, that is after the upgraded website is fully functioning.

Summary of project results

This charity organisation, among other things, supports families with children with disabilities by publishing their stories on its website and raising donations. The organisation''s previous website was functionally outdated - it has a complicated donation system, it was inaccessible via smart devices, information was updated only in the national language, it was not easy to administer and all mentioned problems generally hindered the effective attraction of potential donors.

During the project the current website of the organisation was substantially improved by ensuring secure data traffic and data storage, modernising communication with potential donors as well as providing more user-friendly interface. Sections in English and Russian were added to the website enabling to attract donations from foreigners as well as the Russian-speaking residents of Latvia. The new, modern, visually appealing and functional page website also provided more transparent and clearer presentation of information about the charity''s projects and day-to-day work of the beneficiary.

All project activities allowed to move towards attraction of regular donations/funding and decreasing dependency of project funding and organisation remarkable increased its recognition, attracted new page visitors as well as attracted funding for its charity projects. Although the full impact of the project can be measured at least 6 months after the launch of the new website, non-project revenues have already been generated during the website development process.
