Description

The aim of the project is to provide quality and accessible youth-friendly health care services and to encourage young people to choose a healthier lifestyle in the territories of the municipalities of the project (Ukmergė, Molėtai, Širvintos). Achieving the intended goal will provide young people (14-29 years old) with confidential services that help to strengthen their physical and mental health, contribute to the promotion of healthy lifestyles in order to reduce the incidence of young people''s illnesses.

The main activities will be carried out during the project implementation - implementation of Youth-friendly healthcare services model algorithms in Ukmergė, Molėtai, Širvintos municipalities, employing a coordinator and psychologist in each municipality and organizing supervisions, inter-institutional cooperation and youth trainings / events. The main result of the project is the implementation of the Youth-friendly healthcare services model, implementing 4 algorithms in Ukmerge municipality and 8 algorithms in Molėtai and Širvintos municipalities.

The project undertook a series of activities with the aim of addressing the identified issues and challenges related to the health and well-being of young people in the municipalities of Ukmergė, Molėtai, and Širvintos. Here is a description of the key activities and their intended outputs:

  1. Implementation of JPSPP Model Algorithms:

    • Activities: Implemented JPSPP model algorithms in Ukmergė, Molėtai, and Širvintos municipalities.
    • Outputs: Developed and implemented specific algorithms focusing on the prevention of alcohol consumption, depression, sexual violence, and eating disorders. These algorithms provided structured approaches to address and prevent these health issues among young people.
  2. Supervisions and Inter-Institutional Cooperation:

    • Activities: Organized supervisions and promoted inter-institutional cooperation.
    • Outputs: Facilitated regular supervisions to ensure the quality of services and promoted collaboration among institutions involved in youth health, fostering a comprehensive and coordinated approach.
  3. Youth Trainings and Events:

    • Activities: Conducted youth trainings and organized events.
    • Outputs: Empowered young people through educational trainings and provided opportunities for social interaction by organizing events. These activities aimed to promote healthy lifestyles and address the lack of social communication opportunities.
  4. Confidential Services for Young People:

    • Activities: Ensured the provision of confidential services for young people.
    • Outputs: Established an environment where young individuals could seek health services confidentially, promoting trust and openness in addressing their physical and mental health concerns.
  5. Promotion of Healthy Lifestyles:

    • Activities: Promoted healthier lifestyle choices among young people.
    • Outputs: Implemented initiatives and campaigns to encourage positive behaviors and choices that contribute to both physical and mental health.

The combination of these activities and outputs aimed to establish a comprehensive and integrated system for providing quality and accessible youth-friendly health care services while promoting healthier lifestyles and addressing the specific concerns of young people in the target municipalities.
