Description
The project "Healthy and Smart Youth" is aimed at reducing and preventing youth health inequalities in Kaišiadorys, Rokiškis and Panevėžys districts. The project will implement 8 Youth-friendly healthcare service (YFHCS) delivery algorithms that will enable mechanisms for the provision of services to young people in the fields of mental health, nutrition, reproductive health and prevention of external causes of death, and will ensure the appropriate, high-quality and timely provision of these services to young people. At least 1,800 young people will be involved in the project activities. In order to achieve the goal, the project envisages development of YFHCS Coordination Center in Rokiškis district municipality and establishment of new YFHCS Coordination Centers in Kaišiadorys and Panevėžys district municipalities, establishment of YFHCS cooperation network in partner municipalities, YFHCS publicity, YFHCS trainings and camps for target audiences - specialists and youth.
The YFHCS model implemented and developed during the project will help to solve youth health problems faster and more efficiently, but also to assess what services are lacking in municipalities, whether the provided services are easily accessible to young people. The adapted and developed algorithms for solving youth health problems can be used as tools to help shape the youth health strategy and at the same time help reduce health inequalities between Lithuanian districts (and regions).
