Description

The main aim of the project "International Film Festival "Cinema Caravan" in Lithuanian Regions 2021-2022" is to improve the dissemination of professional film culture in Lithuanian regions and to ensure equal availability of film culture products and services.
During the implementation of the project in the year 2021 and 2022 it is planned to organize an international film festival "Cinema caravan", during which the films will be shown in 70 residential areas, film screenings will attract at least 20,000 viewers of which at least 8,000 are young people under 29 years.
The target audience of the project is the residents of small Lithuanian cities and towns: families, children and youth, seniors, people interested in cinema, communities, cultural organizations, regional municipalities. The project is open to all social and economic groups of the society, therefore it is expected to attract and interest various audiences.
 

Summary of project results

The main aim of the project "International Film Festival "Cinema Caravan" in Lithuanian Regions 2021-2022" was to improve the dissemination of professional film culture in Lithuanian regions and to ensure equal availability of film culture products and services.
During the implementation of the project in the year 2021 and 2022 an international film festival "Cinema caravan" was organized, during which the films were shown in 79 residential areas, film screenings have attracted more than 20,000 viewers of which more than 10,000 were young people under 29 years.
The target audience of the project was the residents of small Lithuanian cities and towns: families, children and youth, seniors, people interested in cinema, communities, cultural organizations, regional municipalities. The project was open to all social and economic groups of the society. 

The project was implemented in partnership with the Reykjavík International Film Festival. Cooperation with a partner from a donor state was extremely useful in creating the cultural and artistic programs of the festival, which were of exceptionally high quality.

Cooperation with a partner from a donor state was extremely useful in creating the cultural and artistic programs of the festival, which were of exceptionally high quality, which ensured the innovativeness and originality of the program.In 2022 Public institution "Kino pavasaris" together with the Reykjavík International Film Festival became members of the common festival network Smart7 at the end of the year and agreed to continue to cooperate in the implementation of the "Cinema Caravan" project in the context of creating a program.
