Description

The project aims at increasing the awareness and interest of school teachers and students (Project beneficiaries) about the current human rights issues on the Lithuanian government''s political agenda and the migration crisis at the border with Belarus by disseminating factual information. Three e-newsletters I think will be prepared on topics like the Istanbul Convention in relation to the renewal of the Law on Protection against Domestic Violence; the Partnership law, and the migration crisis. The newsletters will include carefully crafted and selected texts on these topics, reflecting a variety of viewpoints. The expected result is to educate teachers and students about the above-mentioned topics, develop critical thinking, media literacy, respectful and argumentative discussion skills, and in the long run - aid in building a stronger civil society.

Summary of project results

Three e-newsletters I think were prepared on the topics of the Partnership law, the current migration crisis, and the Istanbul Convention (in relation to the renewal of the Law on Protection against Domestic Violence). Nearly 1 000 teachers received the newsletters and could share the information from them to educate their students.
