Description

Domeikava eldership consists of 14 villages among which is the largest village in Lithuania . It has a population of about 10,000 people and is constantly growing due to intensive construction works around. Young people make up the greater part of the new population. It is difficult to reach and involve the youth age group, it is difficult to get involved in civic activities.

Through this project, we will create fun activities for young people, such as: interview lectures and interviews with live witnesses on January 13; organize a patriotic march through the historical sites of Domeikava eldership; invite you to contribute to the hiking route; we will create a booklet of historical objects of Domeikava eldership; organize guides training through the community of local people, especially youth; develop youth volunteer groups for activities; organize a live concert youth festival concert-festival performing a patriotic songs; we will invite young people to create an initiative group whose task will be to present the historical objects of Domeikava eldership in interesting and attractive forms, in order to actively engage themselves in civic activities and to involve the whole community actively in them.

Through this project, we hope that citizens, especially young people, will become more involved in civic activities and initiatives. The project focuses on cooperation with all local NGOs, Domeikava eldership education and budget institutions, thus the project activities and initiatives will reach geographically distant residents of Domeikava eldership.

We hope that 15% more and more active residents of Domeikava eldership will get involved in civic campaigns, initiatives and events.
