Applicant: Optimizacija (brand name INVENTO) was established in 2005 and works to impact the entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem in Croatia, Slovenia, and the Western Balkan region.
Project: Empowering women owned or managed SMEs to implement innovative, green business models through training them in smart skills in AI and machine learning. Project is offering women in Croatia a much needed green skills competence development in light of industrial transition and post pandemic business challenges.
Summary of project results
Project AI-WomenGoGreen overall objective is to empower women owned or managed SMEs to implement innovative, green business models through training them in smart skills in AI and machine learning (ML). Project will offer women in Croatia a much needed green skills competence development in light of industrial transition and post pandemic business challenges.
Output indicators have been fully achieved and surpassed:
- 40 women looking for a job or career development within the focus areas trained and mentored: Green Industry Innovation: 289 achieved.
- 20 SMEs owned/managed by women with improved capacities in business development: 34 achieved.
- 30 women supported (certified) by transnational business skills support (training, coaching, and mentoring): 102 certificates issued.
- 5 professional staff trained: 7 achieved.
- 10 business organizations and mentors that have supported SMEs to increase their business knowledge: 11 achieved.
Project activities support the outcomes: Increased competitiveness of Croatian enterprises within the focus area of Green Industry Innovation and Enhanced business collaboration between Croatian entities and Norwegian entities.
The matchmaking and networking event titled Invento Summit “The Power of Intelligence” was held in Zagreb on March 22, 2024, attended by a large audience (223 participants).
Summary of bilateral results
Promoter states the collaboration with INNO-SCI School of Programming and their representatives was excellent. There were meetings at least twice a month, more if necessary, and communication was almost daily on all activities via email. Furthermore, during the training sessions, there was active collaboration and progress discussion, so the cooperation is described as outstanding.
